Choosing a local car rental agency is often about convenience, fleet availability, and customer service. For people in Kentucky, specifically in the Louisville area, Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 1360 Bardstown Rd presents a multifaceted option for their car and van rental needs. The primary draw is the extensive and diverse fleet, ensuring that whether you need a compact car for running around town or a 15-passenger van for a group event, the resource is potentially available right in your neighborhood.
The designation as a women-owned business is an appealing factor for those who prioritize supporting diverse local enterprises. Furthermore, the commitment to the military community through active military discounts provides a genuine value proposition for service members and their families in the region. Accessibility features, such as the wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance, are critical for ensuring an equitable experience for all customers.
However, potential customers are advised to always exercise due diligence, especially in light of the highly critical customer feedback sometimes shared online. While the company's services and features are clearly defined, customer experiences, as noted in the provided feedback, can vary significantly between locations and even within the same branch. Concerns raised about customer interactions, unprovoked hostility, and alleged issues with damage claims and drop-off procedures warrant careful consideration. It is a prudent practice, as highlighted by other renters, to meticulously document (with timestamped photos or video) the vehicle's condition both at pickup and drop-off, regardless of the rental company.
By being aware of the professional offerings—the large fleet, multiple locations in Louisville (offering alternatives if needed), flexible payment, and specific discounts—while simultaneously taking proactive steps to document the rental condition, customers can better position themselves for a positive and successful rental experience. For a local, accessible, and diverse fleet option in the heart of Louisville, Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Bardstown Road remains a resource worth investigating for your Kentucky transportation requirements.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1⭐ 1 star for CodyI had a really horribly disappointing experience at the 1360 Bardstown Road location. I walked in around 9:15 AM just looking for a rental car — nothing unusual. I was polite and calm, just trying to see if they had anything available. The guy working there (Cody) was strangely tense and stressed, which was odd as nobody else was in there tring to get a car. There was no line. When I told him what I wanted he he actually yelled that they didn’t have any cars. It was so strange and bizarre that I actually looked over my shoulder to see if I was being pranked. So, I stayed calm and simply asked if he could help me find one at another location. When I asked for a manager, he told me to leave and then he yelled again that he was in fact the manager.I wasn’t rude or confrontational at all — the whole exchange felt bizarrely retrograde. I understand these are weird times for sure, but this was completely oddly unprovoked. It was so strange and hostile that I even mentioned I was glad it was all caught on their security cameras, which I am.Fast forward a little over an hour and a half later and and Trent at the St. Matthews store had me all squared away and I got on the road and to my destination safely! What's with everyone being so on edge and combative these days over nothing? Same company, same town, completely different experience and outcome.
June 03 · Zach Fry, The Real Estate Guy!Strongly advise never renting a car from Enterprise and especially not this location. Our insurance company and lawyer are also investigating them for fraud. Dealt with this location for both drop-off and pickup, terrible experiences for both. The main guy there who seems to do a lot of the drop-off/pickups is rude, confrontational, and a terrible human in every way. They were also late with our pickup and fabricated drop-off damages days after they signed off on our return as in the clear.Enterprise notoriously tries to pass maintenance and costs on to the customer, and is uncooperative even with insurance providing any proof of anything. If you are dumb enough to rent from them, ensure you vide every inch of the car and timestamp it both at pickup and drop-off.This location has now accused 2 people I know, unsuccessfully, of fake damage as well as us. Our photos and video proved otherwise but it took months to clear up. They prey on people especially who drop-off after hours it seems and because of the way Enterprise evaluates branches.Enterprise claims itself dismissed our case and tried to get us to pay without investigating or accepting my photos, then proceeded to blow off both my lawyer and insurance company until threatened with legal action. During the investigation, I am told that the manager at this location lied and was unable to provide any concrete details. I would add that the manager at this location rushed my disabled wife at pickup and was trying to prevent us from documenting anything, claiming it is "too small" but was more than happy to try to drop thousands of dollars in damages on us, with no proof, and grainy photos that came from Enterprise's body shop rather than the actual location. Congratulations, you now have an attorney and multiple people investigating you for fraud, and your claim against us was dismissed. If all this sound absurd, google and read all over - Reddit, LinkedIn, and many places about Enterprise's systemic fraud. I'd sooner suggest you buy a beater than rent from this company, and definitely not this location. Moreover, they work hard to take down negative reviews, so don't believe the positive nonsense here.
