The interior hadn’t been properly cleaned and the exterior had bird poop and other stains before pickup, which was disappointing. It would take 5 minutes to wash up a car beforehand. Hoping for better attention to detail next time.

September 11 · Jose MorellThis was a disappointing experience, I rented a luxury car for a prom and paid for the car up front to ensure that they would honor my reservation. Well on the day of the prom I was called first thing in the morning and told that they did not have a car on the lot for me. I was told that it is very difficult to come by a luxury car. The associate told me she had found another car for me in Medford which I could go and pick up.Why do I have to go to another store to get the car? Why wouldn't the manager go and pick up the car from Medford and have it ready for me at their place? I asked that question and was told that it was impossible. After being told that there was one person working and I was on the phone with her and that she was doing her best to solve the problem, I asked for my money back. I was told that she couldn't do that and I have to call customer service to cancel the reservation. This is now not one but two requests that have been put back on me to do if I want something. I don't see how these should fall back into my lap and I should be doing extra work for their mistake. They did call back after I made a fuss and found a car closer to me but still inconvenient but they still could not get the car for me as that was impossible. In conclusion if you are looking for a place to not honor your reservation and drive all over to get your car then this is your place to go.UPDATE: I did get a call back about an hour later a to let me know that they found a car that was closer to me but still out of the way and a hassle to get to. I rejected that option as well because they wouldn't deliver the car to their location for me to pick up. I called customer service to get my money back and waited on the phone for 25 minutes to get someone to pick up. Then it took 10 more minutes to get my money back. Over all terrible experience.

The car seats were stained and the wheels were making knocking noises, and seemed to be unsafe to drive.I contacted the Bayshore Budget office & requested to exchange the Volkswagen for a cleaner, safer car. Ms "Z" said to return it & get anther car.The second car was a Nissan. It was in somewhat better condition..My wife & I decided to extend our stay with our daughter who gave birth to our 2nd. granddaughter the week before. So I asked Ms. "Z". what it would cost us for an extra week and she said $388.53.We agreed..I asked her What it would cost for a third week & she said $430.00.Again we agreed..However, when we returned the car, instead of $430.00, we were charged $626.00, which was an overcharge of $196.00..When I complained to the manager, Alex,his response was that Ms. Z. made a mistake & he insisted that the $626.00 fee was the correct amount & that he already charged it to my credit card..So I filed a complaint with my credit card co.,who credited $196.00 to my account..To make matters worse, I recently received a letter from the Budget "Emergency Roadside Service" demanding an additional $231.22 for the "tire damage repair". Remember the unsafe Volkswagen that I originally received with the knocking front wheels, that I returned because it was unsafe to drive? Well ,they wanted me to pay for that too.. Fortunately, the customer service agent that I contacted to dispute the tire fee, looked into the vehicle's history. He apologized for my inconvenience & assured me that I don't have to pay the tire repair fee..Do you think that I will ever rent a car from Bayshore Budget Rent a Car? To this I say , "NO WAY JOSE".
