The man in the booth in the parking lot was super kind and stayed late for myself and 2 other people from my flight, and was friendly and courteous. Car was great and had no issues with returning it.

Even 0 stars would not justify the horrible service this company is providing to endless customers. Even after booking 3 weeks in advance, after reaching the Boston Airport at an active time of 9 AM, I had to wait more than 2 hours to first get someone to attend me. There were at least 50 people waiting in the line, and just one person attending.After getting the documentation completed, went to the car garage to pick up the car. I believe Dollar thought 2 hours was not enough waiting, so they asked us to wait for another 30 minutes to get the car. This is just me writing, but there were surely 50 more like me who went through the same pain.Anyone traveling to Boston, I highly recommend booking through some other car company. They ain't savings Dollars for you! At least get peace of mind by choosing a better service

Our jeep rental looked as if it was in an accident upon pick up. The vehicle was filthy and absolutely scratched up everywhere. Upon pick up there is next to no one to communicate with about any problems. We will be renting elsewhere.

Their business model apparently works on deception and trapping you into paying for random things and then completely brushing you off and ignoring you when you attempt to get help. I thought I was being responsible by paying for insurance ahead of time, so I already had insurance when I arrived. Unbeknownst to me, they added additional (extremely expensive) insurance and a premium roadside service (which was not disclosed verbally to me). I had just gotten off a redeye flight, I was so exhausted and confused. I initially tried to push back against the additional charges, but the agent at the desk confused me. I wish I would have questioned it all more, but I felt so rushed and disoriented. I was on a special birthday trip for myself, completely alone, and it was my first time renting a car so I was trusting the "customer service" agent to guide me through it.When I got to my hotel less than an hour after picking up my car and finally had time to sit down and review the charges in detail, I called customer service to get the duplicate insurance and "premium roadside service" removed for the remainder of the trip. She told me I had to drive ALL THE WAY BACK to the airport and do it at their customer service desk. Because I was so desperate and facing charges I really couldn't afford, I wasted more gas money and valuable time out of my VACATION to make the stressful drive back to the airport to get help. After waiting in line for half an hour, lo and behold, I was told that they couldn't help me either!!! I was brushed off and given an email for the "managers"... Ok. So I emailed, all but begging for help, even offering to pay for the day of services I had "used." No response. I was completely ignored.I was quoted around $700 online and am going to end up paying over $1,100. I am now out $400 that I wasn't expecting and I'm beyond hurt and upset. It really put a damper on the beginning of what was supposed to be a special birthday gift trip for myself... And having to deal with all of the stress and frustration completely alone was just the worst. Will absolutely NEVER rent a car from Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty, or any of their sister companies ever again and will be telling everyone I know to avoid them like the plague as well.
