I handed the keys to the lady that was working there after waiting for someone to come to the counter. She stated I should have just dropped the keys in the drop box. At that point I complained about it taking 40 minutes to check out the day before even though I had a reservation and am a gold plus member. What I should have done is asked for a printed receipt. I believe this overcharge was due to my complaint. I called the next day when I saw I had been billed an extra day and the same lady said she would have the new branch manager, Andrew Arena review the video. I never heard back and doubt she even told Andrew about the incident. I would still like to hear from Mr. Arena.
May 16 · Russell STREETERBooked a reservation through HotWire the day before. When I came the guy was nice but only had one car (a pickup truck) and wouldn’t upgrade me from what I booked (economy). I wouldn’t have preferred a truck but in the end, I had a booking but they had no car for me. The guy at the desk said this is happening all the time with their location. So buyer beware - don’t count on them to honor your booking.
April 30 · Ken StwalleyBooked a rental 3 weeks in advance as a Presidents Circle member, only to have this location call me at 9pm the night prior my trip to tell me they sold off all their cars and that I'd have to find a different pick up location. Called customer service, they couldn't help me. Ended up going to the airport location and they were able to get me a car in time for my trip home that morning. Based on my experience and other reviews I would not recommend this location to future customers.
April 22 · Neal DillonDon’t bother to rent here or with any Hertz. We have rental insurance and when that was set up for us, Hertz called to confirm the rental. The following day when I was supposed to pick up the car, I called to verify that when I came, all would be ready and they had all they needed for my rental. Tazia sounded confused even tho she spoke and was the one who called my husband the day prior. Finally, she confirmed that there would be a car ready when I arrived at 4:30 that day and she would pass on the information to her colleague Alisha. When I arrived, Alisha, said she had no knowledge and needed to ‘shut things down, didn’t have a car, etc’. She was very rude to me as if I was the problem when it was clear the miscommunication was w/in their organization. She made a phone call, went outside and took pics of a car, continued to be short with me, not providing me with information or a walk around the car. When I went to leave, I took pics of the car that was dirty inside and out, had bird droppings on a back passenger window, was clear it hadn’t been washed or detailed inside - steering wheel was sticky and front passenger seat had a spill on it and the smell I won’t mention. I was there a total of 50 minutes and she left. I took the car home and called corporate the next day hoping for some help. I received NONE. They blamed me saying I can not expect them to hold a car for me ?? Then told me to take the car back and ask for a clean one. I asked for some mediation and them to call on my behalf because those are the only 2 employees there. They provided no further help. When I called to ask for a clean car, Alisha stated that she gave me a clean car and it is not her fault that it rained (there was no rain that day). I returned the car and went elsewhere.
March 28 · Lauri EdwardsBooking online was the only easy part of this whole transaction. When I arrived the customer service rep cracked the door open and peeked out from her desk chair. I stated I was there to pick up and had a reservation. She rudely asked me my name. Proceeded to get me checked in but had no idea which car she had reserved for me. The lobby area was gross to say the least. When I returned the car, on time, she was too busy to check it in right then. When I got my bill she charged me for an hour past check in time. When I tried to call about the charge the phone just rang and rang. Overall this was not a good experience. Probably wont be a returning customer.
