SUV.Car slammed to a stop going 30 miles an hour, for no reason. Pushed my ribs into the steering wheel. Came very close to being rear ended.Had to wait several hours for another car to be delivered. Horrible customer service. Kepthanging up on me and disconnecting me. This went on for over 2 hours… just to get a representative on the phone. Took 8 hours to deliver a different car, ruining and wasting our whole first day of vacation. Never rent from Payless again!!!!

From the start, his attitude was arrogant and dismissive. Instead of providing clear guidance, he treated us as if we were ignorant and wasting his time.What made it worse is that we had just come off a flight of nearly five hours. Anyone working in airport car rentals should understand that customers are arriving from long journeys and need to feel welcomed, respected, and at ease not belittled. This agent failed completely in that regard.For a role that is all about customer service and first impressions, his behavior was unacceptable. He showed no patience, no respect, and certainly no professionalism. It left us with the feeling that he should not be working in a customer-facing position at all.

First they do not pick you up at the airport you have to take a bus to the economy parking lot there they pick you up to take you to a hotel that seemed abandoned they do not come out to give you the car they only give you the keys, my mistake was not having checked it they charge you to leave it early because they open until 9:30 when boarding for the flight was at 10 I receive an email that the windshield was broken I call them they do not answer I sent emails 3 times asking for photos of the damage to compare it with the photographs I took when I dropped it off and they did not answer they only sent the claim to my insurance and my insurance said that it was better to pay so they would not report me and stop renting cars to me at other agencies but I have never had problems with other agencies they personally come out and check the car in your presence but this is a crappy agency Los Angeles Airport Agency, California

But Payless added some “service options” to my contact to increase the price but told me the price increase was just “security deposit” and the additional amount will be “refund” back to me when I return the car. My mistake was not to read the list of small print on the contact before I sign it due to the time constrain I had but trust the lady behind the counter who told me this lie.Upon returning the car, I noticed the service man told me I have “Gas Service Option” so I did not need to return the car with a full tank, that brought me attention that I did not agreed to add this service option. After I received the e-receipt a day later, I noticed the price was hijacked by total $146.50. The other car I rent from AVIS for my daughter on the same trip was honest billing charge without adding additional “Service Options” I did not accept.Be ward when you rent a car from this Payless and look through everything on the list charges. Don’t just trust by the words the lady behind the counter who told you, because the “Additional Charge Amount is just security deposit will be refund” is just a lie to cover up the additional charges on your bill.
August 23 · E LGreat customer service and super friendly staff. Very reasonable rates and fees. Great inventory selection and super clean vehicles. I accidentally forgot my work key on the key fob when I turned in the car. One of the employees (Darryl) came to the rescue helping to find the car in no time using quick thinking and reasoning to narrow down where it could be! Highly recommend renting from here if you need a car.If management reads this: Darryl deserves a promotion and a fat raise!
