The ability to access van rentals locally is a significant benefit for community members planning group outings or requiring commercial-grade transport without traveling to a distant city hub.
A notable highlight of this particular Akron branch is its commitment to diverse ownership, as it Identifies as women-owned. This local dedication combines the global resources and quality guarantee of the Enterprise brand with a strong, community-focused business ethos, providing a unique and supportive customer experience right here in Pennsylvania.

Its street-level presence ensures a straightforward experience for vehicle pick-up and drop-off, a stark contrast to the often complex logistics of airport rentals.
The facility is located at: 315 S 7th St, Akron, PA 17501, USA. This address is easy to find and is well-positioned for quick access from major local routes, serving the community's need for local rentals, often utilized when a personal vehicle is in the repair shop.

- Wheelchair accessible parking lot: Available designated parking simplifies the process for customers with mobility needs when arriving or returning their rental vehicle.
For added flexibility, Enterprise typically offers after-hours return options, where customers can park the car, lock the doors, and use a key drop box. However, local branch hours, especially for in-person service, should be confirmed by calling the provided phone number. Customers using the key drop box should note they remain responsible for the vehicle until the business officially reopens.
The Akron Enterprise branch provides a comprehensive suite of rental services designed to meet diverse travel and local needs. Their fleet usually covers the most popular rental classes, ensuring availability for almost any requirement in Central Pennsylvania.
The core services include:

- Specialized Van Rental Agency: The ability to rent specialized vehicles is a key strength. This includes Minivans (like the Chrysler Pacifica or similar) for 7-passenger capacity, and often larger Passenger vans (12- or 15-passenger options) for group transportation needs, making it ideal for churches, local sports teams, or event organizers in Lancaster County.

These discounts are extended to active-duty members, veterans, and often their immediate families.
- Advanced Payment Convenience: The acceptance of NFC mobile payments highlights a dedication to a modern, quick, and touch-free transaction process, catering to the increasingly digital preferences of Pennsylvanians.

- Policy Transparency and Customer Support: While some customers have reported issues with general call center communication and strict short-term extension charges, the availability of a dedicated local phone number allows customers to connect directly with the Akron branch staff to manage reservations and address concerns. This local contact is critical for maintaining high service standards.
For scheduling your pick-up, confirming vehicle availability—especially for high-demand van rentals—or inquiring about the specific details of a reservation extension, contacting the local Akron branch directly is highly recommended.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My first time using a car rental company. On a motorcycle trip in VA and had a tire blow out. Needed to get home to pa, found an enterprise 20min away, and got a 24 hour rental. Very straightforward, I was very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to use again. 5 stars
May 19 · bmart121Lost my reservation and personal information, told me I didn't have a reservation or appointment, even though I set it all up previous day. And then- the Enterprise associate showed up to pick me up and I wasn't there of course. He called asking for me and has gone to pick me up even though on the phone they told me they didn't have my name or number in system. The phone number part I figured out- as it was revealed they had the wrong number- one digit off, but how could they not have my name? I had given them lots of personal information, more than once by then. The policy should always be to repeat the number back to the customer slowly, to ensure accurate documentation. But somebody had to have had my info, because a guy did go to pick me up- after telling me they had nothing at all on record for me.Since I had received no confirmation or email I called to confirm in morning and was told nothing on record and that they had no car for me, until next day at earliest. I asked the guy if he could wait 20 or 25 minutes but he said I was too late, already missed it- even though completely fault of Enterprise. Possibly result of outsourcing call center to India or someplace in Asia. Another terrible experience because I tried like hell but could NOT understand these 2 gentlemen at call center. I am very good at understanding accents and I get lots of practice, but they simply could not speak English effectively. They tried and otherwise seemed to make a good effort, but their accents were simply too difficult, on the phone especially. And then - I had a two day rental after rescheduling for the next day. A mid-size Hyundai Elantra from Wednesday to Friday 1pm.I needed to extend 4.5 hours until 5:30pm when I could get a ride. I arranged through App the day before. They charged me 75$ for 4.5 hours more!!! I figured once I drop off they'd likely work with me at least a little - NOPE!! they ripped me off terribly. Already high price of 75$ a day, but then to add an entire additional day for 4 hours? I got the impression it coulda been 1 hours and they would've done the same. Zero effort to please the customer or be reasonable - and yet now they want surveys completed and reviews on line- go figure. But I'm happy to oblige, so everyone understands their business. And I must add- I am in a rural area of Pennsylvania, this was weekdays, and the rental lot was essentially full of vehicles, and there was only I little bit of other business taking place on these days... Absolutely no way to justify charging this much in this situation. I'll be sure to try and make alternate plans in future, not only in my local area but I'm my travels. You can't rely on Enterprise - either for your Reservation, for reasonable charges and policy, nor for being able to have an English speaking human being to talk to if you need someone - unless you want to spend an hour on the phone and get put through to "Escalations" department - which was finally better, and at least could allow for communication, but didn't make the overall experience any better.
August 04 · bryan jenkinPick up and delivery were very easy. The staff was very friendly. The SUV was spacious inside and made the long trip easier. Highly recommended!
October 08 · Raymond WorthingtonFist car was small like cigarettes, staff didn’t mention about gas , insurance co supposed to pick up bill but enterprise charged me for double for gas and lie on face about that they told me I have to fill full tank. Thank you for great service.
October 11 · ashish patelThe rental office was quite nice and efficient. The renal car was pretty rough, high Mileage, hub cap missing and several dings and scratches. But it ran and I only put 125 miles on it while my car was in the body shop.
