That should tell you right there that they are not a very reputable quality. I walked out pissed off and without a rental car because they refused to rent a car for me. When I contacted booking.com about it, they said that after you secure the booking and pay for the rental, then it says that you can’t use a debit card. It’s an absolute scam! Save your money and your time and go through a more reputable source. The stress is simply not worth it! Plus they aren’t as cheap as you’d hope they’d be.

I didn't realize until I went into the parking lot to receive the vehicle that it was a huge van. I needed a trunk to secure my work gear and a van doesn't have one.
May 14 · KathyGreat experience renting with Payless in Providence airport. Staff was friendly upon taking the car, although I had an issue with my credit card, my bank’s fault not Payless. The lady at the counter was super patient while I was solving it on the phone. Car was brand new. I never had to use customer services. Return was super fast and smooth with someone present, even when returning on a Sunday evening at 9pm.
May 07 · AmelieWhen I picked up the car the experience was good and the customer reps were helpful. I rent at a lot of places and not at Payless and this will be the first and the last time. I was 2 hours late, I called and let them know why (my son had NG drill duty) and they proceeded to charge me over $41 an hour and also charged more than I was originally quoted. I have not had to deal with any other company doing this.
