My experience in Buckhead was a bit of a rollercoaster — it started off rough, but thankfully it turned around and ended on a good note.My experience at the Downtown location has been extremely stressful and disappointing. The vehicle I was given was not only dirty, but it also wasn’t even filled with gas. When my daughter-in-law got in, she immediately noticed a towel and spray cleaner left on the back seat, black marks on the ceiling, and visible scratches on the exterior. To make matters worse, the windshield was cracked — something I didn’t even see until I had already driven off, because the garage was too dark to properly inspect the car at pickup.I attempted to upload photos through the in-app scanner, but it wouldn’t work. I did show the employee who handed me the keys, and he simply told me to “just take pictures,” which I did. Still, this left me uneasy.Adding to my frustration, I work Monday through Saturday from 7am to 6pm, so Sunday is my only day to come into the store to resolve issues. Since you close at 2pm, I even have to leave church early to make it there — and I shouldn’t have to go through all this stress just to address problems I didn’t cause.I renting the car for a month and I'm not happy.
September 09 · Havok JonesI usually brush off negative experiences, but this time I decided to write a review – after TWO (not one) *egregiously awful* experiences with the Sixt Atlanta Buckhead location.I use Sixt for better-quality cars and better service, and have been satisfied with service at airport locations multiple times. However, the Sixt Buckhead location really ought to be shut down. The branch manager Shaatia Brown is unethical and should be fired, unless toxic behavior is required to hold a job at this place.Awful Experience #1: I had booked an SUV on the Sixt website for a family trip. On the day of pickup, I called the location two hours before the 1:00 PM pickup time. I was assured by the representative that they were getting the vehicle ready. I and my spouse drove out to the location (45 min drive) to pick up the vehicle. We were literally 0.1 miles from the rental location, and get a call from the branch manager Shaatia at 1:08 PM (after the pickup time started) – saying “there’s no cars available other than a small sedan”. I had a group of 7 people waiting to travel. This employee started processing a “full refund” (see below about that) while on the phone. Nevertheless, I parked and went inside to speak to this individual.Clearly, after I called at 11 AM the vehicle must have been diverted to someone else - in fact, at least two 7-seaters were sitting right in the lot. I expressed my displeasure about the service and lack of concern for the customers. This employee Shaatia actually smirked while telling me “…but you already asked for the refund, and there’s no car.” What a terrible quality of service and sheer contempt for the customer, plus no vehicle, and 1.5 hours wasted driving to and from the location. Absolutely the worst service experience of any kind that I have had.Awful Experience #2: One month prior to experience #1. This time, luckily I got a call 6 hours before the pickup time, informing me there was no vehicle. I asked them to cancel the reservation (since the website would not allow me to), and I did not have to go to the Buckhead location. They claimed to have processed the “full refund to arrive in 15 business days”. But it never arrived. I had to call the Sixt customer service a month later, and they had no idea a refund was to be issued. I was told that the Buckhead location entered it as a “No Show” - again showing contempt for the customer. After I expressed my displeasure, they finally processed it again, with a 15-day timeline (wake up, its 2025). Keeping my fingers crossed to get a refund after 45 days.

From the moment I walked in, Shaatia’s professionalism, warmth, and positive energy turned my entire experience around. She not only provided excellent service in handling my rental quickly and efficiently, but she also went above and beyond to ensure I felt valued as a customer.Her genuine care, attentiveness, and ability to make a stressful day feel much lighter stood out to me. In a world where customer service can often feel rushed or transactional, Shaatia made the experience personal and memorable. It was more than a rental—it was a reminder of how powerful kindness and professionalism can be in shaping someone’s day.I am truly grateful for the outstanding service I received, and I believe Shaatia deserves recognition for representing the Sixt brand with such excellence. Because of her, I will continue to choose and recommend Sixt with confidence.
September 25 · Michael RobinsonThis was the worst rental experience I've had. I prepaid for a vehicle and was late to pick it up due to travel. I show up at the counter, and the agent says the car I reserved is no longer available. She says the only option is to pay double what I already paid for the next available car. I try to tell her that I already paid for it, but she uncaringly just said this is the best we can do. I contacted corporate afterwards and they were not helpful either. Literally pay for any other rental car company.
October 07 · Praise ChingI wish I could give an -1000000, for the customer support. The training Manager Alvin and Desire, both were horrendous, they were a night mare. I don't know sixt could some one give the job to people who make fun of the customers, be arrogant? Very arrogant. The experience we had was very terrible. Go there if you want to have the same experience. But Sixt car rental company in general is amazing.
