ALM Drive Introduce
ALM Drive, located in Norcross, GA, distinguishes itself from traditional car rental agencies by operating primarily as a subscription-based mobility service. Situated in the bustling Gwinnett County area, this service is designed to offer a modern, highly flexible alternative to both short-term daily rentals and long-term vehicle ownership or leasing. For Georgia users seeking a vehicle without the commitment of a lease or the typical hassle of traditional rental counter paperwork and haggling, ALM Drive provides a method to rent and drive cars on a weekly or monthly basis.
The core concept is to provide total flexibility, allowing customers to choose their vehicle and the duration of their terms, with elements like routine maintenance often included in the subscription fee. The available fleet is varied, often featuring a range of vehicles from standard sedans and SUVs to premium and electric models, notably including Hyundai EVs. This makes it an appealing option for local users, commuters, and those needing a vehicle for an intermediate period without a major financial outlay.
However, it is crucial for prospective customers to be aware that ALM Drive is associated with the broader ALM dealer group, which has attracted highly negative customer feedback regarding its sales and service practices. Reviews from customers mention issues such as selling "raggedy pre-owned vehicles," overpricing in service, "horrible terms" for rentals offered through their shop, and an overall lack of professionalism. These severe criticisms, while not always directed specifically at the subscription service, indicate a potential risk regarding customer service standards and vehicle quality within the larger organization. Customers are advised to proceed with awareness, especially concerning the terms and conditions of their subscription or rental agreement.
The ALM Drive car rental agency is strategically positioned in the Norcross, GA commercial district, offering convenient access for those throughout Gwinnett County and the greater North Atlanta area. Its location is easy to reach from major local roads, making the process of vehicle pick-up and return relatively straightforward for Georgia residents.
The facility is located at:
655 Engineering Dr #101, Norcross, GA 30092, USA
The agency also prioritizes physical accessibility and customer convenience with essential amenities:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: The premises are equipped with an accessible entrance, ensuring comfortable and secure access for all customers, including those with mobility challenges.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Dedicated, convenient parking spaces are available for individuals requiring easy entry and exit from the facility.
- On-site Parking: Customers driving their own vehicle to the location for a rental or subscription pick-up benefit from readily available on-site parking.
For financial transactions, ALM Drive accepts standard forms of payment:
- Credit cards: Major credit cards are accepted for rental payments and the required deposit.
- Debit cards: Debit cards are accepted, providing flexibility, though renters should always clarify the specific requirements for deposits and documentation, as policies can vary.
ALM Drive's primary service model centers around flexible, subscription-based mobility, which is a modern twist on the traditional car rental concept. Their offerings are structured to provide maximum convenience and minimal commitment for the Georgia driver:
- Subscription-Based Car Rental: The core service is a weekly or monthly vehicle subscription, which includes a car, insurance coverage (subject to terms), and routine maintenance within the fee structure.
- Diverse Vehicle Fleet: The inventory includes a wide variety of vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, and specialized models, often featuring a focus on late-model and modern vehicles.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Rentals: ALM Drive has a notable partnership with Hyundai, offering a selection of electric vehicles like the Kona EV and Ioniq 5 for subscription, allowing customers to try an EV without long-term commitment.
- Digital/App-Based Enrollment: The subscription service emphasizes a streamlined, non-showroom process, encouraging users to browse inventory, select terms, and enroll using a mobile app.
- Mileage Rollover: For subscribers, unused miles may often roll over upon renewal, adding value and flexibility to the contract.
- Customer Service and Support: They provide a dedicated Member Services line for questions, scheduling maintenance (which is covered), and reporting accidents or breakdowns.
The defining highlights of ALM Drive are rooted in its innovative subscription model and commitment to vehicle diversity. However, these positive aspects are tempered by concerns tied to the larger ALM organization:
- Total Flexibility and Customization: Customers in Georgia can choose their vehicle and set their subscription term on a weekly or monthly basis, offering a much higher degree of freedom than a traditional lease or long-term rental contract.
- Inclusion of Routine Maintenance: The subscription typically covers the cost of routine maintenance, simplifying vehicle upkeep and budgeting for the renter.
- Access to Electric Vehicles: The partnership with Hyundai to offer various EV models is a significant feature, appealing to environmentally conscious consumers or those curious about electric mobility before committing to a purchase.
- Minimal Paperwork and Haggling: The subscription process is designed to be largely digital and transparent, eliminating the traditional dealership or rental counter haggling experience.
- Accessibility and Parking: The facility provides essential accessibility features, including a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, plus convenient on-site parking for all customers.
Despite these advantages, the following points based on customer feedback are major considerations:
- Affiliation with Highly Criticized Dealer Group: The most significant concern is the association with the larger ALM dealer group, which is accused in multiple reviews of employing poor business practices, including selling "raggedy pre-owned vehicles" and having a general disregard for customer satisfaction.
- Overpriced Services and Poor Terms: Specific feedback highlights that their "rental" offerings (often presented when a customer's vehicle is in the shop) were "overpriced and horrible terms."
- Wasted Consumer Time: Customers have expressed frustration over a lack of professional service and the feeling that their time was wasted in their dealings with the related entity.
For Georgia residents interested in enrolling in a vehicle subscription, inquiring about the fleet, or needing customer support, the contact details for the ALM Drive location in Norcross are as follows:

ALM Drive is worth choosing for the sophisticated Georgia user who values ultimate flexibility, technological convenience, and access to a modern fleet, including desirable electric vehicles. The subscription model—which bundles the vehicle, insurance, and maintenance into a single, predictable weekly or monthly payment—is a significant draw for Gwinnett County drivers who require an intermediate mobility solution without a long-term contract or a large down payment.
The ability to handle the entire process digitally and swap vehicles is ideal for those who prefer to try out different models or who have rapidly changing transportation needs (e.g., a short-term corporate assignment or a long-term test-drive of an EV). Furthermore, the commitment to providing a physically accessible experience at their Norcross location is a definite plus for customers requiring it.
However, the decision to use ALM Drive must be made with eyes wide open regarding the consistently negative public perception and reviews associated with its parent dealer group's overall customer service and vehicle sales integrity. Given the strong accusations of "selling raggedy pre-owned vehicles" and general unprofessionalism, prospective renters are advised to fully scrutinize the terms and conditions, particularly those regarding the condition of the vehicle upon receipt, maintenance coverage, and any cancellation or dispute resolution policies. For a purely transactional, flexible rental experience, ALM Drive offers a cutting-edge model, but the local execution is a variable factor that warrants cautious optimism.

ALM Drive Reviews
This is the worst dealer group in Atlanta. They were ran out of St. Louis for the same business practices. They're selling raggedy pre-owned vehicles to the public and don't want to fix the problems. They coerce customers into buying a Motor Trend warranty which isn't worth the paper it's written on. They don't even want to take care of their employees so you know that they aren't going to take care of their customers. Save yourself a headache and buy your vehicle somewhere else.
