She tried 7 different times. She never gave me my rental agreement or let me see the total price. I could tell she swindles multiple people every single day.Then getting my car, the gate agent did not want to mark down the existing damages. I had to keep asking multiple times for her to write the report.When I got my invoice in the end, the gate agent added prepaid gas which I did not ask for. I am waiting to get a refund.AVOID AT ALL COST.

The staff are thorough with explaining the details of the rental agreement. Both of my rentals were clean and well serviced electric cars. The staff even provided information for charging in the Atlanta area. I would recommend Avis for car rentals in the metro area.
August 09 · EshaI will start by saying all the folks that I spoke with were great and customer service was awesome. Lou is the gentleman that processed my rental and got me in a car. He was exceptionally great at his job. Very friendly and informative. Lou is the only reason for 3 stars and for customer service he was a 5.The maintenance and standard at which the car was recieved was extremely poor. It was pretty dirty inside and out and that's an understatement. After I got to my destination I had to run it through a car wash and deep clean the windows because the film on the outside was so bad that with any moisture, I couldn't see through the window to drive. I also had to get clorrox wipes and clean the inside because it was pretty gross.The a/c also had issues and no matter what I did I couldn't keep it from blowing the hottest air possible. I have videos of what it was doing. Right after I picked up the car I had a 3 hour drive to my business location and I couldn't get the hot air to stop blowing. It wouldn't let me turn it off. It seemed like there was some kind of short in the system somewhere. I have videos and pictures of the car doing this.
May 27 · Amanda PangelinanIf you want to take your life in your hands and possibly die in a car accident, rent from Hartsfield Avis! The only thing they are adept at is renting cars that might kill you on the road. I rented a car for 4.5 days, and had to spend two of those days waiting for new cars because I had to do a vehicle exchange not once, but TWICE. The first vehicle they gave me from the rental car center had a bad battery. The next day it died in a parking lot. I was able to get a jump from someone they checked the battery life and it was registering at only 20%. Because nothing is ever efficient or competent with Avis, I wound up driving the car following a tow truck back to the airport at 10pm. There was another customer with their car on the tow truck because her Avis car had a bad key fob. The tow driver said they get business 24/7 from these rental car companies because all they do is clean the cars, nobody services them. They wait until they break down and deal with it then. Avis sent me multiple texts saying I just had to go to the counter to get my new vehicle and don’t wait in line. Well, you guessed it, me and the other customer with the bad key fob get to the rental car counter and there’s only one line. The absolutely miserable and ratchet women working the counter that night just added insult to injury. I exchanged that first vehicle with an SUV. Drove an hour back to where I was staying and it was well past midnight when I arrived. The next day I noticed that the car had four bald tires and a divot taken out of the tread that showed the threads coming through. See lovely video evidence that I have attached here. I wasted my entire day waiting for a tow truck to come to pick up that piece of garbage. I called at 8 AM. The tow driver got there at 4 PM. He couldn’t believe that they rented the car with the tires in that condition. 47,000 miles on a Nissan SUV with the original tires. They exchanged it for a Volkswagen Tiguan and the minute I turned that car on warning lights came on for tire pressure.But the story does not end there. When I came home, I got an email from Avis telling me I was being charged $371.39 to my credit card for the cost of the tow. You have got to be kidding me. I just got off a painful call with Avis “customer service”. They refused to refund me the tow amount, even though I have video evidence and verification of the condition of the car that they rented to me, which was absolutely dangerous. They also refused to refund me the two days that I could not drive due to the fact they let two undrivable and unsafe vehicles on the road. As I was flying home, I received a customer service survey from Avis. LOL. I eviscerated them. They apologize for renting me horrible cars and said they were going to “investigate”. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a class action lawsuit brought against Avis. Based on the other reviews just for this location alone, I am going to contact a firm that specializes in class actions to see if I can file one against Avis. I also will file an FTC complaint against them for unethical business practices and fraud, and I’m going to go scorched earth on them for the nonsense. This is a completely unethical, unscrupulous, unprofessional company that doesn’t care about their customers safety. This is not a problem unique to ATL. The last few cars I rented were plagued with problems: ATL, rented a car with a tire pressure of 22. Palm Beach, rented a car with a bad tire that went flat. Was able to exchange it at Key West airport for another car. Drove that to Palm Beach and that vehicle’s battery died while at the gas pump at Costco. They sent out a tow truck to bring us back to the rental center at the airport… And what do you know they didn’t charge us for that tow (so ATL is full of garbage). While we were waiting for yet another car, there were about seven people ripping the counter staff a new one for not having vehicles that they already paid for and reserved. Save yourself a headache, and possibly spare your own life… Do not rent from Avis!
July 22 · Susan S.Horrible horrible trip courtesy of Avis! I was issued an inoperable vehicle to drive that needed major repairs. We received the car late at night so we entrusted that the vehicle was well maintained and inspected before heading out on the road, this was not the case. After a few hours of driving the rear tires were worn and down to the threads due to the SUV having improper wheel alignment which resulted in us breaking down on the side of the road with a flat on Both back wheels. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere with no signal where no one could reach us. We had to pay out of pocket for two new tires which OFCOURSE did not last heading back out from our destination due to the poor alignment those tires got eaten out as well as within 2 hrs of the drive. The car was became wobbly and became unsafe for the highway so we had no choice but to Stop ONCE AGAIN and find another Avis 30 minutes out of town to replace the vehicle which was another nightmare cause no seven seaters were available (we had seven passengers) so we had to pay out of pocket AGAIN to rent a separate sedan to fit us 7 passengers and luggage. I was told by Avis in Tampa FL to change and be reimbursed after they identified that they had no replacement vehicles available for me and my party. However once we returned home that was NOT the case.Our priority was to return home if no 7 seaters were available what were we supposed to do drive to every Avis? We were forced to take two vehicles back and were penalized for it! Unacceptable this situation warranted a FULL refund but in the end we only received a couple days. Each branch is doing their own thing no one communicates with each other and no one seems to care just will say anything to pas you along. Our family's safety was at risk because this could have easily been a situation where the tire blew out and caused an accident. I will now be flying anywhere out of state ruined any future rentals for me! Never Again! Terrible Terrible Terrible!
