Do not rent from here. They didn't have the van I had reserved, the SUV they gave me was filthy, the transmission had problems and the mileage was terrible. Upon dropoff, they pointed out I didn't add gas, true enough. They gave the keys back and I ran over to costco and topped it off, no problem. Invoice comes a few days later and I was charged a criminal amount for a fillup. I called and was promised a refund. A month later, no refund. Their phone system makes it almost impossible to reach someone, and budget corporate refuses to help. Avoid these guys.

PLEASE do not ever rent a car from this location. We recently rented a car from here on our last visit to Scottsdale and today without any prior notice our credit card was charge $800 for "damages" done to the vehicle. We returned it in pristine condition with a full tank of gas. We are at an absolute loss and cannot get anyone to help give us an explanation as to what they are claiming is wrong with the vehicle. Protect yourself and rent elsewhere.

A month later we received an email saying Bidget was charging our account for a chip in the windshield. We rent from Budget on Northsight Blvd. in Scottsdale AZ. My husband watched them check the car ( they only checked mileage)I called corporate to challenge it. I asked for pictures. The mileage was wrong, we did not rent at an airport, and it wasn’t a windshield. To me the person sent in fraudulent pictures!

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life!!! My mother, daughter and I flew in from VA to Phoenix for vacation and picked up our rental car near the airport, the main Budget Avis place, it turns out. We then proceeded to drive our rental to our location of stay, Rio Verde about 56 min drive from Phoenix when about 30 miles into the trip I noticed the check engine icon or symbol come up on the dashboard. We experienced no problems so I continued our drive to our place of stay in Rio Verde and upon arrival called the Roadside Assistance number on the key chain to notify someone of the dashboard check engine light problem. This light coming on worried me as we planned on driving to the Grand Canyon and so we surely didn't want any problems.The man who answered my call from the Roadside Assistance then said to check out this Budget rental place on North Northsight for a possible exchange as it was the closest location from our Rio Verde place of stay. So we drove the rental car, now taking time away from our vacation, to this location for an exchange. At first the lady at the counter was accommodating but encouraged me to fill the tank as to avoid that $9 charge per gallon charge as the tank was now 86 miles short of file. She told me where to go to get gas. She then told me we would get the only midsize vehicle she had a Volkswagen even though her vehicles were all reservedSo it took me about 7 minutes to fill the tank and return to the office. By this time 3 others were in line before me. When I got back to the counter she said she just gave away the Volkswagen she said she would have for us. I proceeded to tell her my frustration in our loss of time etc. She then said in a formvoice that I was not her customer and so not her concern that she didn't have any vehicles to rent anyway. With tears in my eyes from the way she blasted at me I said, who's customer am I then? She said, the Budget's near the airport and I can just send you back to them. I was floored by her rudeness. Being out of town I had no idea how the system worked. In any case this employer puts a bad name on Budget because I am a Budget customer and she said I was not her customer. All I can say is that If you have car problems, stay away from this place as all they care about is renting out as many vehicles as they have on the lot. Then if yours happens to have problems and its from a different Budget locale, well be ready because you are not their customer and none of their concern at that point. A truly terrible customer service experience.
