Comfort transportation Introduce
In the greater Milwaukee area and across Wisconsin, reliable and accessible transportation is a necessity, particularly for individuals with mobility challenges who require specialized travel for medical appointments and daily activities. **Comfort Transportation** is a key local provider, specializing as a **Handicapped transportation service**. Located in Milwaukee, this provider is not a traditional car rental agency for general public use but a dedicated service for non-emergency medical and personal mobility transportation.
Their primary mission is to offer safe, respectful, and punctual rides to healthcare appointments, including dialysis treatment, physical therapy, and other doctor visits. The service is fundamentally designed to support the independence and mobility of passengers who rely on wheelchairs or have other accessibility needs, ensuring they can access vital services without the stress of navigating public transport or standard taxi services.
However, it is important for Wisconsin residents to be aware of the experiences shared by previous customers. Reviews highlight serious concerns regarding service reliability and communication. Patrons report instances of being missed for scheduled pickups, with one customer detailing a scenario where the ride was a no-show and communication from the company was inadequate, leaving them late for a crucial rehab appointment. While the intent of providing essential transportation is commendable, users relying on this critical service should be mindful of these operational challenges when booking, and are advised to confirm all arrangements meticulously.

### Location and Accessibility
Comfort Transportation's operational base is located in a community-accessible area of Milwaukee, strategically positioned to dispatch vehicles to clients across the city and surrounding Wisconsin regions. Their physical office is not a public rental counter but the central hub for coordinating their specialized transport services.
The operational address is:
Address: 626 W Melvina St, Milwaukee, WI 53212, USA
While specific operating hours for the office are not publicly detailed, non-emergency medical transportation services typically operate during core medical business hours, Monday through Friday, with limited or specific scheduled hours on weekends. Clients must call ahead to arrange and schedule all transport services.
As a provider of **Handicapped transportation service**, the fleet vehicles are, by nature of the service, equipped for accessibility. This includes specialized vans capable of accommodating wheelchairs and other mobility devices, ensuring a safe transfer for passengers into the vehicle.

### Services Offered
Comfort Transportation focuses exclusively on specialized, scheduled, non-emergency transportation for mobility-impaired individuals in Wisconsin. The key services they provide include:
- **Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT):** This is the core service, providing scheduled rides for individuals who require assistance getting to and from healthcare facilities.
- **Dialysis Treatment Rides:** Offering safe and punctual transportation for regular, time-sensitive dialysis treatments.
- **Physical Therapy & Rehab Transport:** Ensuring individuals have a reliable way to get to their scheduled therapy and rehabilitation sessions.
- **Doctor Appointment Transport:** Scheduled rides for general physician and specialist visits.
- **Wheelchair-Equipped Fleet:** Utilizing vehicles specifically designed with accessibility features to safely accommodate passengers using wheelchairs.
While Comfort Transportation is categorized as a car rental-related business, it is vital for Wisconsin users to understand that they do not offer typical services such as:
- General public car or van rentals for personal leisure or business.
- Self-drive vehicle rental options.
- Emergency or ambulance transportation.

### Features / Highlights
The intent and specialization of Comfort Transportation are its primary features, though customers must weigh these against reported service issues:
- **Specialized NEMT Focus:** Their dedication to non-emergency medical transport fills a critical need in the Wisconsin healthcare support infrastructure, providing a service crucial for the health and independence of mobility-challenged residents.
- **Necessary Accessibility:** The fundamental feature is the provision of **Handicapped transportation service**, meaning their fleet is designed to handle passengers in wheelchairs, ensuring dignified and safe travel that standard vehicles cannot provide.
- **Compassionate Mission:** Their stated mission is to provide "safe, on-time, and respectful transportation," with the goal of improving access to care, which speaks to a commitment to the well-being of their specific clientele.
Conversely, potential users should be aware of the following based on customer feedback:
- **Reported Communication Failures:** A significant concern raised by customers is the lack of communication, with one review noting an incident where the company failed to notify scheduled clients of a closure, which led to missed appointments.
- **Punctuality Concerns:** Instances where the company "never showed up" for a scheduled pick-up have been documented, indicating potential issues with scheduling and dispatch reliability—a critical flaw for a service where punctuality is medically necessary.

### Contact Information
Individuals in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin interested in scheduling handicapped transportation services, or who need to confirm a pre-booked ride, should use the following contact information. Given the nature of the reviews regarding communication, follow-up calls to confirm arrangements are strongly advisable for reliance on this service.

### What is Worth Choosing
Comfort Transportation should be considered by Wisconsin users specifically needing a **Handicapped transportation service** for non-emergency medical appointments. The value in choosing them lies in their specialized equipment and focus:
- **Wheelchair Accessibility:** For Milwaukee residents requiring a ride in their own wheelchair, the service provides the necessary accessible vans and trained drivers to ensure a safe transfer and journey to and from medical facilities. This specialization meets a specific, non-negotiable need for many passengers.
- **Addressing Essential Health Needs:** Their explicit focus on transport for vital appointments like dialysis and physical therapy means they understand the context and frequency required for such rides.
However, Wisconsin customers should exercise caution and diligence when relying on this service. Given the public feedback concerning "Horrible service and communication" and being "left abandoned," it is paramount that users verify their bookings multiple times, especially for appointments that are time-critical, such as rehab or dialysis. While the specialization is valuable, the operational track record suggests potential inconsistencies that must be managed by the customer through proactive communication and possibly having an alternative plan, if possible, to avoid being "left abandoned" during a time of need.

Comfort transportation Reviews
Horrible service and communication. I had to use them to get to rehab with my new wheelchair and they never showed up. I called them to ask where they were and they replied they were closed because of the weather. I asked why they didn’t call to tell anyone. I was put on hold till I hung up. If they were closed, why were they there? Why not call people and tell them? Why not even say they are sorry for the oversight? How are they still in business? Now I will be late for rehab. Seems strange.
January 28 · Juan ValleWorst service ever. Handicapped people have enough problems without being left abandoned by a transport company who is being paid to help them.
