October 06 · T OVery long review - Summary at end...On may 16th of May this year I picked up a 12 passenger Mercedes Van with about 14k miles on it to take my wife, daughter, parents, sister and her husband their 5 kids, on a much needed 9 day vacation to Florida. To begin with, an error on the website meant we had to change pickup location to this one, and of course the price was wrong by a couple hundred dollars, and we chalked it up to just the way it goes - we have been using enterprise exclusively for 13+ years.After loading a literal ton of luggage, making sure all the car seats were secure, and ensuring everyone had personal entertainment, we set off on the 13 hour drive to Orlando.About an hour into the trip, my wife mentioned that she smelled diesel fuel at the back of the vehicle - having never driven a diesel before we agreed we only noticed because it was different from our usual gasoline vehicles.4.5 hours later we found ourselves at the Buckee's in Florence South Carolina, just about 11:30pm on a Friday night. While filling the tank I noticed my feet getting wet and leaned under the vehicle to see fuel spraying out of the fuel line al over the ground, underside of the van, my feet, and exhaust system, literally everywhere... obviously this was not good, not safe, and not what we paid over a thousand bucks for.We quickly contacted roadside assistance (not based in this country, possibly not based in reality), they said they would send another van on a tow truck in 2 hours. We called back about an hour later for an update to discover no tow truck had been called, and that there was no van because the closest location had closed at midnight - 30 mins after we called.Over the next 15 hours that we were left stranded there we called Roadside over 60 times. We were hung up on multiple times, we were told a new van was on the way several times, we were told to call 911 to clean the fuel spill, we were told that we "didn't understand how this works", and all manner of other pre-written responses to keep from doing their jobs. The worst was when a tow truck did show up to take the van but did not bring a replacement van.... we kindly explained the situation to the poor driver and told him the van was not leaving until we had another one as we were essentially living in it.When we reached the 15 hour mark, after calling Roadside every 15 minutes of so, with our dejected 6 adults, and 6 children under 10 years old, and having missed an entire day of our beach vacation, my wife and I went to the local airport and rented a van from Hertz, we gave the key to the Enterprise employee and wished them the best of luck, and continued on our vacation - leaving the broke down van sitting at Buccee's.My wife called customer service the following Monday to gently explain that we would need all our of money back and someone above minimum wage to contact us to sort this all out. 2 week later, after we had returned from vacation, my wife's phone finally rang with a call from here.... They wanted to know where the van was because they were going to charge us another weeks rental as we didn't return it.My wife did her best not to laugh, cry, or demean the poor young woman who unfortunately works for such a mismanaged pile of garbage company and explained all the steps we had taken to try and be nice and that we would hope she didn't try to charge us anything for her sake.The initial rental charge was eventually reversed from my wife's credit card, but here we are months later and have not heard a peep from these rocket scientists.It is doubtful we will ever rent from them again.TL:DR1. Van broke down with 6 adults/6 kids2. 60+ phone calls to roadside3. 15 hours sitting at a gas station4. Rented a new van from a different company5. Left broke van at gas station and gave key to local office6. Weeks later get call they wanted to charge us for 'not bringing it back'7. Have still not heard from anyone about the situation months later

Then after your car has been repaired, the Car Rental Company allows you to leave your Rental Car at the Repair Shop. Now It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than That!!
