We decided to go with Enterprise and we had the best experience. No long lines, counter rep was professional and friendly as well as timely. The best part was I got to choose the car I wanted. It was nice and clean and well kept. The other rentals had dirty cars.The return was also speedy and so so nice! Just the best experience.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with Enterprise was not only disappointing, but it also caused unnecessary stress, delays, and missed commitments during my trip.The vehicle I initially received displayed an oil/filter warning. Following Enterprise’s instructions, I contacted roadside assistance and was sent from branch to branch, each time receiving conflicting information. At one branch, I was even told by a representative that “the phone reps lie,” which left me appalled. After more than 3 hours of wasted time, I was still left driving a vehicle with maintenance issues — something that could have been a safety hazard.When I finally went to the airport location, one gentleman was kind and did what he could to help. Unfortunately, the replacement car I received then displayed a severe tire pressure warning the very next morning. This meant I ended my trip returning yet another unsafe vehicle, while trying not to miss my flight.I also want to note that I was promised a complimentary upgrade for my upcoming October 14th rental as a gesture to make things right. No confirmation has ever been received, which only reinforces the lack of reliability and accountability I’ve experienced throughout this process.At this point, I expect more than just a verbal promise of an upgrade. The level of negligence, miscommunication, and inconvenience I endured merits:1. A formal written confirmation of an upgrade for my October 14th rental.2. June 13 · Justin ArcandWe rented a large SUV as there were 7 of us. The car died on the day we were to return the car. Had to jump the battery and the red engine light wouldn’t go off so we had to exchange the car locally (we were 90 miles from the airport). When we called the local Enterprise they didn’t pick up so we went in and the attendant agreed we couldn’t use the car we had rented. He gave us a small replacement SUV with a trunk that wouldn’t open. We had to take it. Three other members of our party had to find alternate ways to the airport. We also had to add gas to the new car even though we prepaid for gas when we rented initially. When we returned the car at the airport we were told that Enterprise would give us a material discount on the rental due to the trouble we had and the fact we had to pay for gas for the substitution car which we would not have had to do with the first car. When we finally got our bill two days later, there was a $5 credit (half of the gas cost) on a $556 bill. Imagine our surprise. Enterprise has been a preferred vendor for us in the past as we rent fairly often (we travel a good amount and my husband travels for work), but no more. We won’t use a Company that fails to perform their contractual obligations, lies about how they will make it up, and then cheats us out of a very nominal amount of money for contingency expenses. Basically, Enterprise rigged the final exchange so that our trouble made the Company an extra $5. Enterprise didn’t lose two customers with this behavior, they lost seven. And of course all of their advertising is around the customer experience and the quality of the service.
