Beyond its standard offerings, this specific Enterprise branch on Sheridan Road distinguishes itself by several community-focused features. Notably, the business identifies as **women-owned**, demonstrating a commitment to diversity and local entrepreneurship within the Illinois business landscape. Choosing the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Zion is highly recommendable for Illinois residents who prioritize **supporting diverse local businesses and utilizing military benefits**, all while benefiting from the infrastructure of a national brand. The fact that this branch identifies as women-owned is a compelling reason for community members to give their business to this specific location, promoting local economic empowerment. For those affiliated with Naval Station Great Lakes or other military entities, the availability of active military discounts presents a tangible financial advantage.
However, the decision to rent here must be paired with **extreme caution regarding the vehicle inspection process**. A significant customer review highlights a severe issue where pre-existing damage, specifically a windshield crack, was allegedly hidden and later attributed to the renter upon return. This practice, regardless of whether it was intentional or a systemic failure, underscores a critical lesson for all renters:
- Mandatory Photo and Video Documentation: Every renter must take comprehensive, time-stamped photographs and videos of the entire rental vehicle—including the interior, windshield, and under the snow brush or floor mats—at the time of pickup, regardless of a staff member's assurance.
- Demand Contract Notation: Insist that every scratch, dent, or crack, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant (like the noted hail dents), is explicitly documented on the rental agreement before you leave the lot. A staff member's verbal agreement is not sufficient.
While the Enterprise brand offers quality vehicles and the Zion branch provides unique, commendable features like its women-owned status and military support, customers must proactively protect themselves against potential liability for pre-existing damages. If the in-person customer service experience is poor, as suggested by another review, customers should escalate the matter immediately to a manager or corporate line. By exercising due diligence, Illinois users can confidently utilize the convenient location, diverse fleet, and community-focused advantages of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Sheridan Road.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It was a small crack in the windshield when I got it , and when I returned it, they said it wasn't there, so now I'm forced to replace the window. I should of took a picture of it but I wasn't thinking. It's my word against they word and I'm gone lose because I have no proof but on my paperwork it had on condition of the vehicle, Hood with dents from Hail. They made it seem like the Hail never touched the windshield just only the hood and top of the truck and it's impossible for Hail to crack a windshield but put dents on the hood. They had a Snow brush blocking the crack on the dashboard. They said corporate said they must have the snow brush on the dashboard because I had the rental since February to May. So they trying to cover their tracks and making me pay for damage that was already there when I returned the SUV. When I had them rewrites the crack was there then but they didn't say anything until I finally turned it in on my last rewrite. That's my ONLY problem I had with Enterprise. Other than that, the service was good. I just hate that I got played and got to pay for some already made damage. My advice to everyone, if it's a scratch, dent and etc on the car when you rent it, you better take a picture and make a video and document it with date and time of purchase and make sure the damage is stated in the contract or you'll end up paying for it like I got to pay because they lied saying it wasn't there when I got it but had a Snow brush blocking the crack where you couldn't see it. Since I can't prove it and they covering their tracks so they don't lose their job, I'm gone lose because I don't have proof because they tricked me with their kindness in the beginning and they gave me a big discount in the beginning to throw me off . I discovered the crack when I took the snow brush off the dashboard hiding the crack and I figured they already knew about it and I had like 3 rewrites and they never said anything about the crack until when I turned it in. Now I gotta pay for it. 😡
