If you’re a platinum member, they don’t care. Clearly the workers are understaffed and underpaid. It’s not okay. If you’re booking with Hertz you’re expecting a certain standard by paying all this money consistently for a rental car. Staff your place accordingly so that you’re platinum and gold members aren’t standing in line for an hour. And pay your people more so that your loyal clientele don’t go elsewhere. We’re all frustrated with your operation. We “apologize for the inconvenience” is not enough.

Told me I had an issue with my profile and had to call corporate. Staff was somewhat friendly not totally smile and friendly.Have me an suv that smelled like someone smoked. September 06 · Michael YeoWhen I got into my vehicle I noticed a smoke smell. However, this was the only car they had available with Android Auto, which I needed since I didn't know the area well. I let the attendant know about the smell on the way out of the exit, and she made a note of it (I have the carbon copy of this transaction). After returning my car, I got the receipt while I was already back in Georgia that slapped on a $500 smoking fee. I don't smoke, and I have physical proof that Hertz knew about this when I rented the vehicle. I guess they don't check the agreements and damage reports when they check you out? That's pretty concerning.However, by far and large the WORST part of this whole experience has been trying to get in touch with them. I have tried every phone menu option to try and get an employee multiple times for OVER A WEEK NOW. I have also submitted a help ticket on Hertz website (5 days ago, no response). Hertz customer service is absolutely non-existent.I am a President's Circle Member and have probably spent well over $10,000 with Hertz just this year but I am absolutely sickened by this. What kind of business treats their customers like this? Or better phrased, doesn't treat their customers at all?

The original car i had rented smelled so bad ofsmoke and the maintenance light was on i had to switch it out, I was placed in a Traverse that was filthy !! jelly beans, used kleenex, soggy potato chip bags, the car was covered in dings, dents and creases, the oil light was on the whole time, anytime in reverse it squeaked so loud and you could not go over 55mph on the highway without this loud humming sound that vibrated your brain, sounded like the engine was going to fall out !
