The gentleman behind the counter did not have a name tag on, so I’m not sure who he was.We rented a Toyota Camry or similar, however they had no Toyota Camry and the only thing that they could offer us was a Volkswagen Jetta. We expressed our frustration over that and offered us A Toyota Tacoma Then printed the ticket for the VolkswagenJetta.We waited out front for him to bring up the car and then he came back to us and said they could not find the keys for the vehicle.He then stated if you can wait 30 minutes maybe I will have another car for you.A few minutes later, he pointed to a white Camry that was in the line to be washed. He said give me a little while and I’ll get you in that car. We were willing to wait since that is what we wanted to rent.He Came back a little later and told us that there was no other cars available and that he was putting us into a Hyundai ELANTRA. This car drove terribly as a rough ride, Service light came on 7000 miles overdue for service and there was no other Sixt Car rental in the area of Missouri we were traveling to for us to exchange it.Upon returning the rental car at the end of our trip, we shared with the lot attendant that the car was overdue for service he did not even care.We will not rent from this company again.
July 24 · Michelle DavisWas greeted by Hailey and Nick. Both were professional and polite. We booked an X3 and I’ll be darned we actually got THE CAR. We were offered an X6 for $40 more a day but we didn’t need it and turned it down. The rental was reasonable for four days and with tax we paid $202. Liked the drive and enjoyed all. Easy to return and head downstairs to the shuttle for all rentals back to the terminal. It was very quick and easy peasy from start to finish.
January 27 · Barbara Lindner (Travelling Wife)I rented a car from Sixt. During the course of my visit I had an emergency back in Chicago that I had to leave a day early for. It was an emergency so I booked the earliest flight the next day which left at 7:30am. The Sixt rental office is not 24/7 like every other rental car company at an international airport. Sixt also does not offer an after hours dropbox or an after hours parking space to park a vehicle to leave before their office hours begin at 7 AM. I called Sixt customer service and explained my situation and I was told there was no option. I told them I can’t change my flight to meet your office hours. There must be something that can be done and I was told there was nothing that they would do for me. I then told them that I would be parking the vehicle in the short term parking at the Kansas City International Airport approximately one hour before they opened on Sunday. I did so and then sent eight photographs of the exact location of the vehicle, the condition of the vehicle, the keys and the ticket for the vehicle and that was at 6 o’clock in the morning on Sunday. Instead of them retrieving that vehicle when they opened an hour later, they let the car sit for days until it got towed. That has now been six days later and they still have not resolved this issue so obviously no one cared about the location of this vehicle all they cared about was the fact that I dropped this vehicle off outside of their operating hours. This is a mark of terrible customer service. They could’ve at least had an agreement with any other car rental agency, which are all housed in the same building at the Kansas City International Airport to accept a vehicle out of their operating hours in case of an emergency they made no such reparations. I cannot be the first person to have ever had to return a vehicle outside of their operating hours, but again they have made no concessions for anyone to do so. I would never suggest anyone ever rent from this company ever again. They don’t care about you. They don’t care about customer service. All they care about is their Rules.
