I saw the other reviews stating similar issues but was hopeful those were only one off occasions and making a reservation a week beforehand would ensure a car would be there. But they didn’t have a car available.Plus, it doesn’t appear you can directly talk to a staff person onsite? I called the number listed for the location a day before pick up to confirm that they would have a car. Apparently I got routed to an offsite customer service agent who told me a car would be available. There was no indication this person wasn’t actually at the location. When I asked the guy working at this location about this he responded with “oh the corporate customer service agents always tell people there are cars available”. WTH?I will say the guy working there was nice, sympathetic and called another location to see if they had any cars available. So no complaints on customer service. They did not have any cars at the other branch so I ended up having to go to Enterprise.I would love to use this location for future rentals because it is very convenient for me but I can’t use a location where I can’t have strong assurance that a car will be available.

March 21 · Kat E.Arrived at 9:10 for a 9:00 reservation and they weren’t even open yet mind you they were suppose to open at 8:00. Finally a gentleman comes and pries the lock off the gate, and then we still aren’t able to begin business because a different employee has the key to the lock box. Still haven’t gotten my rental…Update I was sent to the norcross location about 15mins away and I was able to get a vehicle with no issue. The manager of the north lake store called back two hours later to check and make sure I got a rental and I did appreciate that. Overall the experience wasn’t terrible just inconvenient. Avis corporate needs to do a better job of updating the apps and website on the inventory of vehicles at every location.
August 15 · B-ball BarbieWish I could give less stars. Lady attendant was unhelpful. My reservation that I made was unable to be accommodated. Totally understandable. Car rental places know how to take the reservation but they don’t know how to hold the reservation (Seinfeld joke). I kindly asked her if she could call the nearest location on my behalf due to being unable yo fulfill it. However the lady then tells me “I gotta job to do I can’t be calling other places”. I was under the impression that customer service IS YOUR JOB. But when u look at the location of the rental place, I guess good help is hard to find. Turo will put them out of business. DISGUSTING SERVICE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND
July 19 · Aaron EdwardsIf I could give zero stars, I would.1) I was not told about the $65 fee for an additional driver. Just, "initial here, here and here." After the fact, every representative I spoke with said that was a standard fee for additional driver. My receipt has it cleverly described as "local tax" which makes it impossible to dispute.2) I drove around the mall 3 times looking for Avis. No exterior signage, no designated Avis parking. The c.s. line told me it was inside the mall. Would have been nice to know that.3) When I finally found the rental counter inside, it was closed. Would have been nice when I extended my reservation by 1 day (Fri to Sat) for a 1pm drop-off if the c.s. agent would have told me they close at noon.4) Someone at Avis (without my approval) changed my return date to 2 days later (Mon)5) Someone at c.s. told me a different location to return it to (now 2 hours after I started the process of trying to return the car at the contracted location.)6) At the new location, the return was marked as 2 hours late even though I explained the whole big mess.7) I was told at the new location I would be charged an additional fee for returning it to a different location, something that c.s. didn't tell me. I assume this is the mysterious "8% surcharge" on my receipt.8) Though all of this above is horrible enough, the thing that was worst of all was that thru it all, no one showed any sign that they cared at all. Just another day at work. I will never use Avis again...but I'm sure they won't care.
