The service at this location is painfully slow, they add hidden fees that border on fraudulent, phone support is deplorable, and the vehicle I was given was unsafe and poorly maintained.I rented a truck that had visible damage, was filthy, and almost immediately after pickup, an ABS (braking system) warning light came on. We were already hours away in Shenandoah, VA when it happened. The vehicle had serious mechanical issues: vibration at speed (likely bad wheel bearings), warped rotors, and severely worn tires. It was clearly unfit for rental.When I tried contacting support, I was stuck in endless phone loops. Once I finally reached a representative, they couldn’t help locate a replacement vehicle. We were left driving a dangerous truck for the rest of the trip.To make matters worse, when I returned the truck and reported the safety concerns, the local staff brushed it off—saying the vehicle had been sold and showing no concern whatsoever.I was also charged a fuel service fee despite having filled the tank completely. I had to spend another 30+ minutes on the phone disputing the charge. The representative told me the safety issue was "not their responsibility" and that I should have canceled the contract—despite being hours from the nearest location.Lastly, even though I prepaid and enrolled in Budget’s Fastbreak program, this location didn’t honor it, and I was forced to wait 45 minutes in line just to pick up the truck.Overall, this was a frustrating, unsafe, and unacceptable experience. June 24 · LWe rented through AVIS( aka Budget- different platforms) our vehicle was a 2024 Ford Explorer. The ride was ok, could use better cleaning, especially the windows. Customer service was good- no one yelled at us. It was hot and language was a barrier for some around us- and the service agents all stayed calm. I understand an airport location can be busy and literally a revolving door- quick out side wash and check for items, but a little more would be helpful especially for long term rentals. Will come back- have not passed on this company for future rentals-

After waiting two agonizing hours, they handed me a replacement vehicle that wasn’t remotely close to what I had reserved. To top it off, the car was missing a windshield wiper. When I pointed this out, their solution? They told me to go buy a new one. The audacity!And when I finally returned the car? The staff was just as dismissive, unprofessional, and outright rude as before. This wasn’t just bad service; it was an insult. A complete and utter lack of empathy, responsibility, or basic decency.
