CTN - Community Transportation Network Introduce
In Northeast Indiana, the Community Transportation Network (CTN) stands as an invaluable non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that transportation barriers do not prevent seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families from accessing life-sustaining and purposeful connections within the community. Unlike a traditional car rental agency, CTN is a specialized Handicapped transportation service that focuses on providing a critical link for those who cannot easily use standard public transit or taxi services. Their mission is clear: to ease the burden of transportation, thereby supporting the independence and well-being of their riders.
Based in Fort Wayne and serving Allen County, CTN operates a diverse fleet, primarily consisting of lift-equipped buses and vans, specifically designed to accommodate mobility devices such as wheelchairs and rollators. This dedication to accessibility is not just a feature; it's the foundation of their service model. The vehicles are reliable, and the drivers are consistently described by customers as personal, professional, and friendly—a combination that makes every trip less stressful and more pleasant.
The core of CTN’s offering is more than just the ride itself; it's the compassionate, person-centered support. This is evident in the popular Door Ride Service which offers door-through-door, hand-in-hand passenger assistance. This level of support ensures that riders are safely assisted from their home, secured comfortably in the vehicle, and delivered directly to their destination, often including assistance with packages or other personal items. This comprehensive care sets CTN apart from standard transportation providers.
Customer feedback consistently highlights the extraordinary patience and kindness of the drivers. In a review, one rider recounted an experience where the driver patiently waited for an appointment that lasted 45 minutes longer than expected and even offered to make an unexpected stop to pick up prescriptions on the way home. This proactive and considerate approach to service turns what could be a stressful day of medical appointments into a smooth and supportive experience, making life "a little easier" for their clients.
Since its founding, CTN has grown to be an essential resource, serving thousands of individuals annually, often for crucial trips like Medical Appointments, Therapy Appointments, and essential home services. By offering their services on a sliding fee scale, supported by donations and grants, CTN ensures that cost is not the factor that prevents a person from accessing necessary care, a testament to the organization's powerful role in strengthening the Allen County community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What can I say... always on time, fair price, reliable vehicles, personal/ professional/ friendly drivers. They have many types of vehicles for people with handicap needs (wheelchair, rollators, etc).04/03/2025- The care and concern by this fleet of drivers is amazing! On this one (round) trip they patiently waited as our appointment with the doctor lasted about 45 minutes longer than expected. The driver patiently waited for appointment to finish and offered considerations for an unexpected stop to pick up prescriptions on the way home (which was on the way in already ordered).
April 05 · Aaron WilsonThis week was my first time, using CTN. I'm impressed, the drivers are kind and considerate and personable. I really appreciate this company, they have made my life a little easier. I will be using CTN again. I pray God blesses each driver for their kindness. ❤️❤️
July 11 · Arlecia WhiteI've had the pleasure of riding with CTN when I need help with transportation, and I can't say enough good things about my experience with everyone I've dealt with! The gentleman who answers the phones when I call for rides is patient, professional, and friendly! Every driver I have had (lately, it's a lot lol!) is willing to go the extra mile and lend a hand. They are caring and kind people, which is sadly quite hard to find these days. Every visit is on time, and even the pick-ups, I have zero complaints! They never leave a ruder behind. They are an excellent company that provides much needed transportation for those in need. Thank you CTN for the great services you all work together to provide others like me with!
April 17 · Michele Jean ScherpenisseWe have a driver who comes thru our alley way like it’s the Indy 500. We’ve made 2 attempts at calling their company to voice our concerns. We hope that this will fix that issue. I only gave a star because it won’t let me post it with out a star, but my opinion is no Star should be given. Their driver for van #27 is reckless and doesn’t care how he drives in our alley way and we have a ton of children who live here in this area. I will be posting a video of how reckless this driver is.
July 02 · Samantha KeahiCompletely unprofessional business. I called in to report a driver that cut me off very recklessly in traffic, nearly resulting in an accident, and I was hung up on by the operator after describing this interaction.
