★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1No business discounts is a disadvantages to rentals charging per mile no unlimited mileage offered and no business advantage or early return advantages presented with limited information on vehicles an inventory and not to mention no comparison rate to other competitors most likely will not recommend nor will I run again from them. To be a good customer means nothing to them so this displays therefore business marketing and customer care. While we're using their business to promote our housing business and renovation company.
October 12 · BURRAH ESTATE LLC. Bob JohnsonGreat overall experience! I scheduled for an 8am pick-up and was met with pleasant and helpful energy by Ekaterina. The car was washed and ready, so I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The car drove smoothly without issue, and the drop-off was seamless. I’ll definitely rent from this location again when I’m back in Akron.
October 07 · Khalid Bowens*UpdatedAfter a car accident, my insurance sent me to Enterprise for a rental car. I was overwhelmed because of the accident and this was my first rental car experience. The person that I spoke to on the phone was very unhelpful. He spoke very fast and talked over me. He did not listen to me at all.The man that I worked with at the actual location was friendly and did try to explain everything. I had to give a $50 deposit of my own money in order to take the rental. I had been told the insurance was covering everything. No one had mentioned the deposit until I got there. Having never had a rental before and having been clear about that from the beginning, it would have been nice if someone had explained that sooner. They put me in a vehicle that was good for me. It did smell faintly like weed to me, as a nonsmoker and asthmatic, I am very sensitive to scents, but it wasn't strong enough to be a huge problem. The vehicle was very similar to my vehicle, just a little bigger.About a half hour after leaving the lot, while in an appointment, I began to receive phone calls and voicemails from Enterprise telling me that I needed to bring the vehicle right back to the store because it was up for sale. By the time I was able to listen to them, it was already past closing time. This was very distressing because, having never had a rental before, I honestly didn't know if I was going to be in some kind of trouble for not being able to bring the vehicle back right away and since I couldn't contact them at that point, I had a very stressful night waiting to sort things out in the morning. They agreed to send a vehicle to exchange at my workplace. I told them I had liked the vehicle that I had been given the first time and would like something like that, I also mentioned the importance of not having a vehicle with any strong smells. The man who delivered the new vehicle wasn't particularly friendly and seemed to be in a rush, I had to ask him to show me how it worked because I had never driven anything like it. It was an enormous vehicle with third row seating and a ton of alarms and features that no one showed me how to use or turn off. It also smelled very strongly of some type of cleaner that was pretty unpleasant. I hated it.When they asked me how the exchange went, I was honest and they asked if I needed to exchange it again. The thought of going through that process again to maybe only get something worse was too overwhelming, so I told them I would just stick with what they brought.Enterprise called after I returned it to tell me I would get my deposit back. The man on the phone apologized for my trouble and wanted to "make it right". I told him it had been a stressful experience, but it was "water under the bridge". He pressed and wanted to offer me "at least $50." I told him that since the insurance paid, that didn't feel right or necessary, but he insisted. I said if he felt that was fair, I would accept it. He said I could expect the money in 2-4 business days along with my deposit. Then he mentioned that he hoped I would now feel happy to give them a great review and that an employee who helped me was "really hoping for a promotion". We ended the call and I felt super uncomfortable with those ending remarks. I joked with my coworkers that I felt like Enterprise had tried to bribe me into a better review for $50. I never intended to give a review at all unless sent a survey, and even then I intended to be honest. For what it's worth several employees were kind and helpful and I don't think the entire experience was bad. Most of the employees involved were not responsible for the parts that sucked.I hope to never need a rental vehicle again. If I had a choice in companies, I don't know that I would choose Enterprise.
September 28 · Christina HauschUpdate: I couldn’t ask for a better resolution. Big Al and Dan were beyond helpful. Dan fixed the initial issue we had that caused me to give a bad review. He walked me though everything and made sure I got a car I initially should’ve received. He text me updates, made sure the car was clean and detailed.Big Al Johnson was awesome! He walked me through the features of the new car. We chatted and he was a very nice and understanding guy.I am glad we found a solution and I appreciate these two more than ever for helping resolve the issue!Car was not clean inside like I was told it was. Stuff dripping down the side of the arms, tires very differently inflated. Went to pick up a full size suv that was reserved. Called in to talk about what car it would be and clarified it was there. Said be there at 4:30 pm. We went early. Told I would have to wait 30 minutes and I was okay with that. The guy told me they took it to get an oil change and the guy was already on his way back. I went out to my vehicle to wait. The guy came out and said there was an issue that came up and all they had left was a ford explorer. This was a reservation made for a large suv. The car on the outside was dirty but I told the guy that was okay not a big deal but when you say the inside was detailed that’s a different story.
October 23 · Deana PappI had reserved a Maserati or Range Rover for $200/day at this location. When I arrived there was only one car on the lot. A tiny Nissan Sentra with over 60k miles, dented door, lots of blood or something on the inside, major stains, and 3/4 gas. They charged me $100/day plus $300 deposit, and claimed it has a full tank because they knew I was late for a funeral and stranded in the middle of Akron. I could barely fit in it, very dangerous to drive. When I contacted support multiple times they refused to switch it out at multiple locations and claimed the only way I could get out of the contract was if I was stranded on the side of the road and had to have a tow truck. After contacting support multiple times and visiting the airport they all said the same thing and never had anyone call me as promised. I had to cancel multiple plans with family as my dad's 20 year old car was better than this. I recommend to never use Enterprise in Ohio, ever!
