Go With Gig Introduce
Go With Gig is listed as a car rental agency located in Douglasville, Georgia, intending to serve local residents, commuters, and potentially a clientele centered around the gig economy, such as rideshare drivers who require a temporary or long-term vehicle. The location at 7498 Douglas Blvd is situated to provide access to those in Douglas County and the surrounding areas of West Georgia. Like any local service provider, this business is defined by its operational practices, vehicle quality, and most critically, the customer service experience it provides to the Georgia community.
However, the public feedback available for Go With Gig in Douglasville, GA, presents an overwhelmingly negative and serious picture, with multiple customers issuing severe warnings against using the service. Reviews are marked by extremely concerning issues regarding vehicle sanitation, safety, financial practices, and customer treatment. Unlike standard rental company issues, the concerns here escalate to allegations of scams, retaliation, and public health risks.
One extended, detailed review opens with "⚠️ COMPANY IS A SCAM ⚠️ STAY AWAY DO NOT RENT," immediately setting a strong negative tone. This customer reports a harrowing experience involving a vehicle described as "roach infested," noting "Baby roaches and big roaches EVERYWHERE." Disturbingly, the customer alleges they were "forced to keep the roach infested vehicle" for five days until a replacement was available, and was not given a refund for the unusable rental time, despite the significant public health risk. The replacement vehicle itself was allegedly found to have two screws in two different tires on the day of pick-up, raising profound questions about vehicle safety and pre-rental inspection procedures.
Another customer's review echoes the sanitation concerns, reporting finding "BED BUGS" after experiencing strange itching, leading to the discovery of bugs, dead and alive, in the vehicle. The response from a staff member, Ramone, was allegedly characterized by "zero empathy or concern," with a subsequent suggestion from "Leo" that the customer should pay to have the car detailed themselves—an unacceptable and unsafe practice for a rental company. This review also details cosmetic and structural issues, including a horn that did not work, a fender held on with zip ties, and a car interior that was "filthy and still wet inside with a fan running to dry the seats." The cumulative evidence of pest issues and poor cleaning suggests a severe lack of fleet maintenance, posing a direct safety and public health risk, particularly given that a primary customer base is believed to be gig workers transporting passengers daily across Georgia.
The negative reviews also highlight deeply flawed and allegedly unethical financial and administrative practices. Multiple customers reported significant and sustained struggles to receive their mandatory security deposits back. One customer reported having to wait two weeks and consistently calling every day, stating, "Had I not called and kept inquiring they would have not given it back to me." Furthermore, allegations of staff providing false or contradictory information are numerous, with one review specifically naming a staff member, Johanna, for being "sneaky over the phone" and trying to "scam me twice." Another customer reported being overcharged and seeing the company threaten to call the police on another customer instead of processing a refund.
Perhaps the most severe allegation comes from a customer who reports that, in a retaliatory act for leaving a negative Google review, Go With Gig remotely disabled the paid-for vehicle and had it towed, leaving the customer and their family stranded without a refund or replacement. The tow truck driver allegedly confirmed the car was being picked up because the customer was "bashing the company." This reported action, which the customer claims involved lying to the police, represents an extreme level of alleged unethical and dangerous business practice that renters in Georgia must be aware of. Given these consistent and severe allegations across multiple reviews, local users are strongly cautioned to exercise extreme vigilance and consider alternative rental options.
Go With Gig is geographically located to serve the Douglasville area, providing a local rental option away from the heavy traffic of central Atlanta. The business operates as a single-location car rental agency.
The precise address is:
- 7498 Douglas Blvd, Douglasville, GA 30135, USA
Based on general public information for the business, accessibility features are stated to be in place for customers:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot
While specific daily operating hours are not uniformly provided across all public platforms, local business profiles indicate the office is generally open during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with likely closure on weekends. Customers must verify the current hours directly, as there is a direct claim by a customer of "NO 24 HOUR SERVICE."
Go With Gig is categorized as a Car Rental Agency. While detailed information about its specific fleet (makes/models/sizes) is limited in the immediate public data, its operational structure is known to include:
- Standard Car Rental: Providing vehicles for short-term and potentially long-term rental needs. Given the customer base is often gig workers, the fleet likely focuses on economical and mid-sized vehicles.
- Flexible Payment Options: The agency accepts standard forms of payment, which is a convenience for many Georgia renters:
- Credit cards
- Debit cards
- Security Deposit Requirement: A security deposit is mandatory for rentals, which is a standard practice in the industry, though customer experiences suggest significant delays and difficulty in receiving the deposit's return.
- Vehicle Swap/Replacement: Offers the option for vehicle exchange or replacement, though reviews detail lengthy wait times and repeated poor conditions in the replacement vehicles offered.
The available factual data, stripped of the negative customer experience claims, lists the following fundamental features:
- Acceptance of Debit Cards: A helpful feature for renters who may not have a credit card, though subject to the company's specific policies.
- Accessibility Compliance: Provisions for a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot ensure the physical premises are available to all customers.
- Local Douglasville Presence: Offers a rental option outside of the heavily congested Atlanta city center and airport locations.
However, the overwhelming nature of the customer feedback requires a factual inclusion of the reported issues as critical aspects of the agency’s features that local users should be fully aware of before considering a rental:
- Severe Sanitation and Safety Concerns: Multiple, detailed reports allege vehicles infested with roaches and bed bugs, alongside major mechanical and cosmetic safety issues (e.g., screws in tires, non-functional horns, zip-tied fenders).
- Alleged Financial and Refund Scams: Widespread reports of extreme delays (up to 14 days) and active resistance to returning security deposits and providing legitimate refunds for defective vehicles.
- Allegations of Retaliatory Conduct: A claim of remote vehicle disabling and towing in direct response to a negative customer review.
The official contact information for the Go With Gig car rental location is:
- Address: 7498 Douglas Blvd, Douglasville, GA 30135, USA
- Phone: (678) 809-1597
- Mobile Phone: +1 678-809-1597
Given the extreme and consistent nature of the public customer reviews, local residents in Georgia should approach Go With Gig with the utmost caution. While the business offers the basic function of a car rental agency in a convenient Douglasville location, the severe and documented customer experiences raise significant red flags that eclipse the minimal positive or standard features. The features that would typically make a local agency worth choosing, such as good customer service, reliable vehicles, and honest financial practices, appear to be critically absent based on multiple customer accounts.
The primary reported risks—ranging from receiving a vehicle with a severe pest infestation (roaches and bed bugs) to allegations of financial deception regarding security deposits and refunds—pose a serious threat to a customer’s health, safety, and financial well-being. Furthermore, the allegation of retaliatory actions, such as remotely disabling a vehicle and having it towed over a negative review, suggests a highly unconventional and aggressive business practice that is far outside the norms of the transportation industry.
For Georgians needing a car rental, especially those relying on the vehicle for their livelihood as gig workers, the risks reported in these reviews are non-trivial and potentially life-disrupting. The reported existence of better, more professional alternatives in the Atlanta area, such as the one mentioned in a review that offers transparent pricing and does not require a security deposit, strongly suggests that local users should prioritize companies with a verifiable track record of safety, sanitation, and ethical business conduct. In this case, prospective customers are strongly advised to heed the collective and uniform warnings from their fellow Georgia community members and consider alternative options to protect their safety and finances.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1⚠️ COMPANY IS A SCAM ⚠️⚠️ COMPANY IS A SCAM ⚠️STAY AWAY DO NOT RENTNO 24 HOUR SERVICEThis company is definitely a scam. I had to wait 2 weeks to receive my security deposit back I had to keep calling to ask. Had I not called and kept inquiring they would have not given it back to me. "Johanna" customer service and her "sister colleague" will tell you 1 thing and then turn around and tell you something completely different. She tried to scam me twice. The first car they gave me was roach infested. YES ROACH INFESTED. I WILL ATTACH VIDEOS. I would not trust them the first day I came in to receive my rental a girl was screaming about how they scam people and told me not to go through with it now I was able to witness her truth for myself. They forced me to keep the roach infested vehicle. I could not drive it and they did not refund me for it AT ALL. Mind you it took 14 days for them to give me security deposit back. After I waited 7 days. They did not have a explanation as to why I didnt receive my security deposit back. So I called everyday and they finally gave it back. had I not called they would have surely kept it. They also give cars with screws in the tires and expect you to fix the entire tire. Which is something that I had to do. They say they will reimburse you but they will reimburse you on their own time IF THEY DON'T FORGET or if you don't remind them. Johanna was always being sneaky over the phone it was pathetic to listen to their excuses. The customer that told me not to do business with them was up there as well when I picked up the roach infested vehicle they gave me for a refund she never received from them as she stated she was over charged. The way I watched them ignore this lady customer and immediately tell her they're calling police instead of giving her money back was proof especially me going through the same thing with this scamming company. A roach infested vehicle was given by Peter . It was disturbing. Baby roaches and big roaches EVERYWHERE. we were forced to keep the car for 5 days until another became available. Then I was given a car with two screws in two different tires the exact same day of picking it up as well. I WILL NEVER RENT WITH THEM AGAIN. Lonewolf Enterprise is better and they DO NOT WANT A SECURITY DEPOSIT you will save and not be scammed and they are in the city of Atlanta not further out like this company. They're prices are 375 to 400 for 7 days not 5 but 7 days. Better and professional company. Do not be scammed by Go with Gig. Lonewolf Enterprise is the best to go with no extra money being spent
September 24 · Love🚨 Warning: Do Not Rent From Go With GIG 🚨FINAL UPDATE:The company disabled the vehicle remotely and had it towed — not because I missed a payment, but because I left a negative Google review. The tow truck driver openly told me the car was being picked up because I was “bashing the company.”They also lied to the police, claiming my contract ended and that my last payment was partial — both false. This was a retaliatory act, and it left me stranded without a refund. This company has no business operating in this condition or treating people this way.UPDATE:This morning, Go With GIG disabled the vehicle I paid for and sent a tow truck to retrieve it — in retaliation for my negative Google review. They even called the police, despite me being fully paid and never violating the rental agreement.I was left standing there, with no refund, no replacement vehicle, and no transportation for myself or my family. This is blatant retaliation and unethical behavior. It’s one thing to run a bad business — it’s another to disable someone's car and strand them for speaking up.Update:After the BBB complaint, the manager contacted me and offered 11 free rental days and a better vehicle — if I would remove my review. I agreed under the condition that the vehicle would be up to par.I was originally supposed to pick up the replacement vehicle the day before at 5:30 PM, but I couldn’t make it, so I showed up right at opening the next morning. Despite being told it was ready, I still waited ANOTHER hour. The vehicle they gave me was damaged, dirty, and clearly not cleaned or prepped.I’ve now been shown five different vehicles, and every single one had body damage or cosmetic issues. This makes no sense when they charge $20/day for insurance. Why aren’t they using those funds to fix their fleet? They should lower their prices to match the condition of what they’re renting out.To make things worse, the horn in the final vehicle didn’t work at all — a major safety issue. The front fender was held on with zip ties, and there were ants crawling out of the dashboard speaker vent during my drive home.Their pest issues and failure to clean these vehicles properly pose a serious public health risk, especially since they rent mostly to gig workers like Uber and Lyft drivers — people who are transporting passengers all day long. The manager tried to make me feel like I was the problem. He told me I was “badgering” him just for calling out legitimate issues.ORIGINAL REVIEW:When I first arrived to pick up my rental, I had to wait 3 hours just to get a vehicle. The car they gave me had significant cosmetic and body damage. I requested a different one, but the replacement was also in terrible condition. Desperate for transportation, I took the first one.Within days, the tire pressure sensor and check engine light came on. When I called to report this, I was promised a call back by an employee named Leo, but no one followed up. Later, I was told I could swap the car out. After driving 50 minutes across Atlanta traffic to their location, I was shown a vehicle that was filthy and still wet inside with a fan running to dry the seats. It was disgusting and unprofessional. Then came the absolute dealbreaker: BED BUGS. While riding in the car with my husband, he noticed his neck itching — and we discovered a bed bug crawling out of his sweater. Back home, we inspected the vehicle and found more bugs, dead and alive.I immediately called and spoke with Ramone, who showed zero empathy or concern. Later, Leo suggested that I should pay to have the car detailed myself and maybe they’d offer a discount. Are you serious? A car infested with bed bugs should be pulled from the fleet immediately — not rented to another family and certainly not pushed back on the customer to “fix.”To make matters worse, when I asked about returning the car, I was told the refund could take 3–5 business days, meaning I would be left without a vehicle and out of pocket. The entire experience has been unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable.

October 14 · Chikita NamesI’m responding to a reply back. I just received on my last review from go with gig owner. I understand you take matter seriously, but It don’t look like it to me All I see is negative reviews about the company and the people is not lying When you take somebody belongings and turn it on, that is stealing, When you dispose of something you just get rid of, there was no need of charging it and turning it on. Responding to this 24 hour policy there was no 24 hours given The car was picking up on Friday night. I called on Saturday didn’t get no answer and y’all was closed on Sunday. And I called first thing Monday morning so explain to me. How is that 24 hours when you were close On Sunday and you don’t stay open on Saturday for 24 hours You respond to everyone telling them to email your support line Which is no help But you will see repercussions watch.
September 24 · Tayye MooreOMG Daniel is the cutest n so professional. I truly enjoyed my experience yesterday when I picked up my car. He was all business but made me feel so comfortable about renting with the company. His teammate George was amazing as well they definitely work great together.
