If you set up to skip the line to pick up your car, your experience will be 5/5 stars.Now, important tips: Rental car offices including Avis-Budget are located near fully-renovated Terminal A. You have a brand new bridge from the Terminal A to Rental Car Offices.If you arrive at other terminals and you do not have checked in luggage, you may want to move to Terminal A by free buses in secure areas, and it would be easier to walk to Rental Car offices. You may use AirTran, free transport connecting terminals, but AirTran station for Terminal A is a bit far from Rental Offices and Terminal A.

If budget can’t handle so many clients. They should not be taking these volume of reservations.Rarely I complain about these matters. But this is unacceptable
August 02 · Walter PachAwful experience. Let me start with the good. The kind woman behind the desk was great. Very pleasant interaction for a 6am pick up! Car itself was a good value even though there was a radio knob missing and a water bottle in the back seat. We drove off and the rental was fine. Then there was the return. I returned the car a day EARLY, at the correct location with a full tank of gas. 2-days later I get charged over $519 for an $81 reservation.Okay mistakes happen, though it’s not what you want to deal with while traveling. I have called and emailed the documentarion 7 times now over several weeks. They agree over the phone they overcharged me. They apologize. Tell me to give them 5-7 days for the money to be refunded. I wait. Check my account and you guessed it. It’s never there. Total aggravation to have to monitor this transaction and call Budget, wait on hold, explain everything get a promise that they never deliver on. Total BS of an experience. Terrible mishandling of my rental. Look at my reviews. I love to leave 5-stars bc I believe in praising people and companies for the good they do. This might be my only 1-star and I gave them several weeks to resolve it. But boy, did they earn their 1-star!
September 22 · Josh SolomonThis is not to fault the TWO representatives having to man this line…. But having ONLY 2 service counters open at 5pm in NEWARK…. Is bad customer service. I arrived to pick up my rental at 5:30pm. It’s 7pm, we have about 6 reservations ahead of us still. There is no discount no incentive, nothing besides the fact that we need this rental to prevent being stuck in Newark. AVIS, right next to your booth, manned a similar line in 20 minutes. Make it make sense.
June 21 · Elsie Alvarenga-RosaNever and I mean NEVER rent a car from this company. For the last 2 weeks I have been dealing with them charging my card over $600 when my bill was $162. When I called to ask about this, they told me that someone had extended my reservation for an additional four days. I told them this was not possible as I had gotten on an airplane and had returned home and even flown to a different state in the time that someone had supposedly “extended” my rental. I sent them proof of my multiple flight plans as well as my new car reservation in a completely different state during the same time frame. My suspicion at that point was that someone that worked for the company kept my reservation open and drove my car around for free for that week.I finally thought this was resolved when (two weeks after my rental) I am now notified that I am being charged for tolls. I NEVER DROVE THE CAR THROUGH ANY TOLLS. I took a look at the toll receipt and the toll that I was charged for was for the day AFTER I returned the car. Again, someone from this company extended my reservation inappropriately, then took my car and drove it for a week, and charged me for it. The toll receipt had this car on a bridge to New York City while I was back on the West Coast. I am considering filing a police report, so the state of New Jersey understands what kind of employees are working at Budget.I will absolutely never be renting from them again. I have since frozen my credit card and will likely cancel my credit card as it seems that someone at this company continues to inappropriately charge me.Reading other of reviews, it does not look like I am the first person this has happened to. This is a pattern. Stay away from this company!
