A month later, I get a letter with a different invoice and it tells me I owe an additional $106. This letter came from Enterprise's collection agency. I contacted them and I got no where. I kept getting the letter's, which then started threatening to put me on a Do not Rent list. One of the people finally understood and told me to go directly through the location I rented from.(I should mention that the information on both invoices have my name, address, the car I rented and the same license number. what changed was instead of $49/day that I agreed to was now $83.30 for three of the days and date of the invoice is now a month later with remittance request to a location in Iowa) I contacted the Rockford Airport by mail. I sent an explanation with my Costco confirmation and the receipt from the Rockford location that I had paid in full. No response. I then stopped at the counter in Rockford after a flight. The gentleman said the computers were down and he would get back to me. Nothing. I have been being harassed for almost 6 months. I called to rent a car the other day and was told I am on the Do Not Rent list. I asked the representative if he could hear me out. (This was at the Madison WI location. He put me on hold and when he came back he told me that somehow something got screwed up in the computer. He was talking to a manager and would get back to me. This was Friday morning. Never heard back. I called Enterprise Customer Service Friday afternoon. The gentleman I spoke to also understood and wrote lots of notes and said someone would call me back tonight (Friday) or tomorrow (Saturday/yesterday) at the latest.I have heard nothing. So......Enterprise billing screwed up and I am on a Do not Rent list. You have not followed through with anything, have caused me over 20 hours of my life trying to rectify this....and I am still no where. Isn't it illegal to change pricing after the fact? and why is the second or changed invoice going to Iowa? Please make this right. I am happy to change the score on my review if someone will take the time to actually look into how this happened. The way I have been treated is simply awful! The people that work at the Rockford desk are great. I don't know how this error happened....I just know it is your error, not mine.
August 24 · Kathryn CobbHad a reservation for a large vehicle on May 30. After our flight landed that afternoon, we were told there were no vehicles left. Rep said they had seen the issue that morning knowing the system allowed overbooking, but “hoped” it would work out. Offered no help with a solution, or apology. Just an “oh well, you figure it out” attitude. If the issue was foreseen, a phone call that morning would have been helpful, so we could have made arrangements with another company. Which we ended up having to do at the airport, with 3 tired and hungry children. 2 hrs and an additional $50 Uber ride later. We secured a car with another rental company.Apparently proactiveness and caring customer service is a luxury these days. Beware of this Enterprise location. You aren’t guaranteed a car even with a reservation.

Since I wanted to put my purchase on my Visa debit credit card, manager R. Rude stepped in.( I am not being sarcastic or condescending that is the young man’s name)He prevented me from using my Visa Debit card credit card. Even though I had done it several times before.Ok why the 5 stars you ask. Truthfully R. Rude upset me somewhat, however life is short so I ended my protest took the car and the hold charge on my platinum.The rented Impala smelled like cigars so I rolled down the window and bought some microban to attempt to neutralize the stench to no avail. I called customer service and they arranged for a new vehicle. This one had the 2024 new car smell.You see Mr. R Does not realize that he was operating inside of an unconscious bias.So I forgive him. Ms Deana tried to save him from himself but when you think you’re the ”boss” sometimes you have to get closer to the coffee to smell it.1. Mr. Rude the manager also cleaned the cars sometimes and was likely aware of the stench.2. If I had not challenged that as a thirty year emerald club member no one had ever challenged my card.3. Possibly I should not have said that he was in kindergarten when I got my emerald club membership.So it’s on me.They gave me a new car extended my time and gas to make up for my inconvenience. So yes 5 stars.In my defense I had been traveling all dayand was a little rough around the edges.National is still my rental car company even when the front line misses my emerald status.
