Enterprise Rent-A-Car Introduce
For residents and visitors in the heart of Fairfax County, Virginia, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch on Burke Road serves as a convenient and essential local resource for transportation needs. Whether you require a temporary vehicle for insurance reasons, a spacious van for moving personal items across Northern Virginia, or a reliable sedan for a weekend getaway to the Shenandoah Valley, this local agency aims to provide solutions with a friendly, professional approach.
This Burke, VA location is distinctive in that it is identified as a women-owned business, demonstrating a commitment to supporting diverse local commerce within the Commonwealth. It also actively supports the extensive military community in Northern Virginia by offering valuable active military discounts. The dual service of car and van rentals ensures that both personal and light commercial needs are covered, from compact cars to passenger and cargo vans.
The local user experience at this branch appears to be a study in contrast. One customer reported an "exceptional" experience, praising the staff's courtesy, the vehicle's cleanliness, and a highly favorable, non-flat-rate toll policy. Conversely, another reviewer documented serious issues regarding management accountability, follow-up failures, and contract mishandling due to an unpaid balance that should have been processed in advance. Virginia users are encouraged to approach this branch with the expectation of a great vehicle and generally good service, but with heightened attention to administrative details and, potentially, management interactions.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch is strategically located to serve the densely populated residential and commercial areas of Burke and surrounding Fairfax County, including Springfield and Fairfax City. Its accessibility makes it an excellent choice for local residents needing a car rental near home or work, rather than having to travel to the nearest airport.
The branch’s physical address is:
9570 Burke Rd, Burke, VA 22015, USA
Situated near major local roads, the location is easily reached by car from various parts of Northern Virginia. Since it is a local, neighborhood branch and not an airport facility, it is often utilized by customers whose personal vehicles are being serviced or repaired, providing a seamless temporary transportation solution close to their residences.
For all customers, the facility provides key accessibility features that ensure ease of use:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: The entry points into the rental office are designed to be fully accessible.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Dedicated parking ensures that customers with mobility needs can conveniently access the building.
The branch maintains typical neighborhood business hours, generally operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the facility closed on Sundays. Customers should note the limited Saturday hours and the Sunday closure when planning pick-ups and returns.
As a full-service Enterprise location, the Burke Road branch offers a comprehensive range of rental services tailored to both individual and small business needs within the Northern Virginia area.
- Diverse Car Rental Fleet: The inventory includes a wide selection of vehicles ranging from economical compact cars (e.g., Mitsubishi Mirage or similar) and standard sedans (e.g., Chevrolet Cruze or similar) up to full-size luxury vehicles and specialty SUVs.
- Van Rental Services: Crucially, this is a designated Van Rental Agency, offering multiple options including mini-vans (e.g., Chrysler Pacifica or similar), 12- and 15-passenger vans for group transport, and cargo vans for moving or commercial use.
- Active Military Discounts: Provides reduced rates and special offers to active duty military personnel and veterans in the defense-heavy Virginia region.
- TollPass Convenience Service: Offers a highly praised electronic toll collection system. Customers are typically billed for the tolls they actually incur, plus a daily convenience fee ($4.95–$5.35 per usage day, not to exceed $34.65 per rental period), rather than an expensive, upfront flat daily fee often found elsewhere. This model is seen by a local customer as a "much better value."
- Local Pick-up and Drop-off: Provides the Enterprise signature service of picking up customers from nearby residences or repair shops, greatly enhancing convenience for local renters.
- Multiple Payment Options: Accepts Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and NFC Mobile Payments, providing flexibility at the counter. Note that debit card usage may have specific requirements or holds for certain vehicle classes.
The Burke Road Enterprise branch distinguishes itself within the competitive Virginia market through several key features that benefit the local customer base.
- Women-Owned Business Status: Patrons have the opportunity to support a women-owned enterprise, contributing to the diversity of the local business community in Fairfax County.
- Customer-Centric Toll Policy: The "pay-as-you-go" structure for tolls, rather than a high, flat daily fee, offers a significant financial advantage, particularly for customers who only use toll roads infrequently during their rental period. One customer specifically cited this as a reason for future patronage.
- Exceptional Vehicle Condition: A frequent highlight is the quality of the rental product itself; vehicles are often reported as "clean and ready to go with a full tank of gas."
- Dual Car and Van Rental: The combined offering of standard passenger cars and various cargo/passenger vans makes this a convenient one-stop shop for both personal travel and utility needs, which is especially useful in a suburban setting like Burke.
- Known for Professional Front-Line Service: The rental agents themselves are noted for being "exceptional" and quickly available, ensuring a short wait time and courteous service upon pick-up and return.
For booking, inquiries, or arranging the local pick-up service, Virginia residents can utilize the following contact information. Given the critical administrative issues noted in some reviews, it is highly recommended to call to confirm all reservation and payment details ahead of time.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Burke Road is an excellent choice for Virginia users who need a local, neighborhood rental and place a high value on vehicle quality and an honest, fair toll policy. For the average renter, the combination of a well-maintained fleet, a supportive front-line staff, and the distinct advantage of the TollPass system—which avoids the flat-rate toll gouging common with other rental companies—makes this branch a superior value proposition in Fairfax County. The added convenience of local customer pick-up and the ability to rent cargo or passenger vans further solidify its status as a highly practical local provider.
However, potential customers must be fully aware of the serious, documented issues regarding management-level customer service and administrative follow-through. The review alleging a branch manager’s "lack of ownership and accountability," failure to follow up as promised, and contract "escalation" over an amount the customer had proactively attempted to pay, paints a clear picture of potential systemic failures in leadership and back-office processes. This is especially concerning in a neighborhood branch where building local trust and accountability is key.
Therefore, the Burke Enterprise branch is worth choosing for its logistical convenience and superior product, but only if the customer employs a strategy of highly diligent administrative verification. Virginia renters should:
- Confirm all details, especially payment and pick-up times, with a front-line agent and obtain the agent’s name.
- Demand and immediately review any receipt or contract showing a zero balance or full payment before driving away.
- If any issue is communicated by a manager, insist on an immediate, written confirmation of the resolution via email, thus creating a tangible record of the conversation.
By adopting this proactive approach, local customers can enjoy the benefits of this convenient, women-owned operation, including the fair toll system and great cars, while effectively insulating themselves from the serious management-related administrative pitfalls that have frustrated previous renters. For those who prioritize vehicle condition and fair pricing on tolls over flawless, stress-free administrative process, this Burke location is a strong contender, provided they remain vigilant.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I typically don’t leave reviews, but after my recent experience at this Burke Enterprise location, I feel compelled to share.Marcus, the branch manager, has demonstrated a concerning lack of ownership and accountability for mistakes and mishandling at the store. Rather than addressing issues directly and professionally, he is quick to deflect blame—either onto customers or on “his guy.” This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but unacceptable from someone in a leadership position. To make matters worse, Marcus personally called me on a Thursday and said he would follow up within an hour. He didn’t.I called the branch on Saturday ahead of time to confirm they had a smaller car available and told them to go ahead and charge the card on file. Everything seemed fine—until I got a call at 8:30am today saying there was a balance. When I followed up, I was told my contract had been escalated because of the unpaid amount. Why wasn’t the charge processed on the day it was supposed to be? This has caused unnecessary stress and confusion, especially after I made sure to handle things in advance. This entire situation has been frustrating and disappointing. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority under Marcus’s management. I have the conversations recorded, and they reflect exactly what I’ve described here. He is aware that these conversations were recorded on my end.As a result, Burke Enterprise has lost me as a customer. I will not be returning to this location so long as it remains under the leadership of an incompetent manager—college degree or not, leadership requires accountability, which was sorely lacking here.
October 13 · DennyI recently rented a car from Enterprise on Burke Rd in Burke, Virginia, from a Wednesday to a Monday. Customer service was exceptional. My vehicle was clean and ready to go with a full tank of gas when I arrived for pick-up. I only had to wait a short time until the agent was finished with another customer. He also answered all my questions about tolls and other fees. Interestingly, this Enterprise did not charge for tolls upfront as some other rental car companies do. They charged me for tolls and convenience fees matched to my rental and collected on behalf of Enterprise for highway toll administrations, a much better value than being charged a flat toll fee of $36 and up per day. On my return, the car was quickly and courteously received. There are a lot of places to choose from in the area to rent a car, but I will choose this one in the future. This Enterprise was convenient, provided a good value, and had excellent customer service.
August 14 · Colleen WalacavageI recently had to get my car fixed due to some damage and booked a car through my insurance with this Enterprise location. I have rented many cars over the years and this was probably my best experience yet. First off, they had a driver pick me up from the collision center I was working with to fix my car and drove me to the Enterprise office to get my rental car - the driver was such a nice guy! When I got into the office, I waited a few minutes and was able to get into my car quickly and with no issues. The car was cleaned and detailed perfectly and had no issues. When returning the car, it was fast process and each of the other employees I worked with at that time were friendly, cared about my experience and also helped get me back to the collision center to pick up my car.If I ever need to rent another vehicle in this area, I will absolutely use this location again!
July 24 · Leah AguilarWhen you need a rent car, don’t go to the airport, stay local and call Enterprise. They are very helpful and professional with every effort made to make the customer happy. That is rarely the case at the airport.I highly recommend Enterprise especially the one in Burke
September 25 · Dan McGowanI had a man named Marcus assist me with an issue and am having a terrible experience. We rented a car from this location and everything was fine until we rented the car and my valuable stuff was still in it. I was not aware that the car was being returned while I was at work so when I found out it was too late and I had things in the rental I had not removed myself. With their “cleaning” policy I was sure they would have seen my things and I could grab it. When we went back to retrieve them we were told the car was not searched and it was given to the next renter. Marcus called the new renters and they we able to confirm they had my belongings in the car. So Marcus said they were away and would turn in the car that Wednesday and he would personally see to it that he collected my item. Wednesday came and when we went to location we were turned away with nothing. He said he didn’t have it and the car was not turned in. So I asked what location the car was turned in so we can move to the next step. I since then have been ignored email after email. I’m am now going to have to see who else can help with the matter and what to do pass this point. Marcus is not professional at all and I would not trust anything they tell you.
