October 06 · Luis ReyesI returned the rental car 20 minutes late from the agreed time of 6 PM yesterday, and I was charged for an extra day along with a late fee. I questioned why I was charged for both when it should have been one or the other, but the customer service representative just bluntly said it was the system's decision and that they couldn't do anything about it. When I asked if they understood our perspective, they said they had nothing more to say and told me to leave. When I asked about the kind of service they were providing, they threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. When I challenged them to go ahead and make the call, they just yelled at me to leave again without actually doing anything. What kind of service is this? Also, due to the inaccurate address provided, I had to make 2-3 U-turns, causing a 20-minute delay, and they simply dismissed it as my problem. The service at this branch of Budget Rental was truly bad and disappointing…. Since the service was so terrible that it's not even worth one star, but I can't give zero stars, I'll give one star at least.
June 13 · Chung KGBe prepared for total incompetence if usingcredit card to hold reservation, then trying to switch to another card to pay for the actual rental. Desk clerk was very nice but said we had to call main number to change payment method. We were on phone with various reps for 45 min & no one understood what we wanted to do. One woman didn't speak or understand English well & when we ask for a supervisor we were told the wait would be 30 min. to speak to someone.We hung up & called again. Next rep said he would cancel reservation & start over but that there were no cars available in Worcester and we were in Marlboro! Tried to explain we had a confirmed reservation in Marlboro & the car was waiting in the lot. He didn't get it! Wanting to pay for the rental with a different card seemed to be beyond their grasp. We like Budget generally but don't even think of trying to change a payment method. Not one person we spoke to used English as their primary language & that may have contributed to the problem. Very frustrating experience.
March 10 · barbara brownDo no bother wasting your time here. Went to pick up a compact vehicle with 2 limited selections. The one I picked obviously wasn't the right one because it was overheating and smoking. Waited 3 hours for vehicle from Boston to be towed to me. On top of that waited an hour for the call rep to try and tow the vehicle to Boston so I would have to drive it back. That was not an option for me. Then after that whole ordeal same day went to budget at 530 waited until after 12 for everything to be finalized and car towed to me. On top of all this when I went to renew they charge you new market rates for the next week. Tried to contact them and the call center the people are just disrespectful. On top of that they need the money up front to extend and will start harassing you from lost prevention and you try and call back and end up waiting over 30 minutes. No one picks up your call. Then I finally am able to return the vehicle and on top of all this they charge all these miscellaneous fees. When this all could have been avoided. That's why they call it "budget" then. Do not rent here or any other location. Boston was also very short on vehicles. Worst experience I have ever had in my life!

I made a booking through Rentalcars app. The car was ready and clean inside. We had no issues with it. Everything worked just fine. The company agent was very helpful and answered all my questions. There were no hidden costs and my hold was cleared the day I gave back the car. So have no fear, this company branch is legit. Thanks :)
