Located at the unified car rental facility, Dollar is often recognized for its competitive, budget-friendly rates, which can be particularly appealing to travelers looking to minimize expenses for their trip across the Silver State. The agency boasts a broad fleet selection, including everything from economical compact cars ideal for city driving to larger SUVs and specialty vehicles, ensuring that most travel needs are met.
This location is situated within the massive, dedicated car rental center on Gilespie Street, meaning it benefits from the airport’s robust infrastructure, including a 24/7 operating schedule for the facility and continuous shuttle service from the terminals. The company also offers specific benefits like active military discounts, making it a conscious choice for patrons who wish to support diverse businesses and honor service members.
While the lower pricing strategy often leads to high demand and, at times, long lines, many customers find the cost savings to be a worthwhile trade-off. Planning ahead, booking a pre-paid or specialty vehicle, and utilizing any available expedited check-in options are often recommended by experienced renters to ensure a smoother, quicker experience upon arrival in Las Vegas.

This extensive selection caters to both budget-conscious travelers and those requiring specific vehicle capabilities for Nevada road trips.
- Flexible Payment Acceptance: Accepts major Credit Cards and Debit Cards for payment. It is important to note that specific policies and deposit holds apply to debit card usage, and a credit check may be performed.

- Dollar Express Rewards: Customers are encouraged to join the Dollar Express Rewards program, which, for eligible members, can waive the incidental hold requirement when using a VISA debit card after the first rental. The program is designed to enhance loyalty and potentially speed up the pick-up process.
- One-Way Rentals: Although policies should always be confirmed, major airport locations like this typically facilitate one-way rentals, allowing customers to drop off the vehicle at a different Dollar location within the United States or Canada.

Dollar Rent A Car at the Harry Reid International Airport is worth choosing for residents and visitors whose priority is securing a rental vehicle at the most competitive price point available. The agency’s focus on affordability often results in rental rates that are lower than many competitors, allowing you to allocate more of your budget to enjoying your time in Nevada, whether it’s exploring the Strip, visiting a local national park, or managing a business trip.
For those who secure a favorable price, the value proposition is strong. As one customer noted, the potential for a long line is offset by the low rental cost. Furthermore, the ability to rent a high-demand specialty vehicle, like a Jeep Wrangler, while paying a mid-size rate is a significant advantage that can enhance a Nevada road trip experience. Additionally, thoroughly reviewing the final rental agreement for any unanticipated charges, particularly related to insurance or add-ons, is a recommended best practice across the industry but is especially pertinent at high-volume, budget-focused airport locations. By focusing on the upfront value and being prepared for the check-out process, Dollar Rent A Car at the LAS Car Rental Center offers a practical and budget-conscious way to fulfill your transportation needs across Southern Nevada.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely the Worst Car Rental Experience – Avoid Dollar at Las Vegas Airport! If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down the slowest and most incompetent car rental experience I’ve ever had. The line was moving at a snail’s pace, with staff looking completely disorganized and uninterested in helping customers. By the time I finally got to the counter, I was already frustrated, but things only got worse.Without even asking me, they added extra insurance to my contract — something I never requested! It felt like they were trying to sneak in extra charges and hoping I wouldn’t notice. I had to argue with them to remove it, and the whole thing felt shady and unprofessional. Then comes the car… what a joke. They handed me a dirty, rattling piece of junk that looked like it hadn’t been washed or even vacuumed in ages. There was soap residue and dirt all over the interior — absolutely disgusting! For a company that charges premium rates, this was beyond unacceptable. The car also made weird noises every time I drove, which made me feel like I was driving something that could break down at any moment. The experience was so bad that I had to waste my time going back the next day just to exchange it. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent my time dealing with Dollar’s incompetence.Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and avoid Dollar Car Rental at Las Vegas Airport at all costs. They are slow, careless, and dishonest. There are plenty of other rental companies that will treat you with basic respect and give you a car that doesn’t feel like it’s falling apart. Never again!
July 27 · Kal SukarI had a pleasant experience with Dollar Car Rental in Las Vegas airport from start to finish. I booked my car rental on Priceline with the express deal. There were no hidden fees. I rented a mid size specialty vehicle or Jeep Wrangler. Though the line was long, afraid that my car was rented out and my options were limited; My guy Arabeque came through and accommodated me with exactly what i booked and prepaid for. Boy, was I HAPPY!!! The process was quick, smooth, and simple. The car was clean and brand new.Thank you Arabeque! Hope to work with you on my next booking. Thanks DCR for a great experience! The location is easy to find, starbucks inside, WiFi and vending machines. The return process is super easy and simple as well. Spacious lobby waiting area for families.Plan ahead because of possible long lines, it’s not a big deal for me because their rental rates are low, it makes up for it.Booked: PricelineDuration: ten daysReservation: 10AM, arrived 930am checked out 1030amDeposit: $200 but subject to change. Hold was released immediately on my Chase credit card.
July 15 · Kimberly TI had a reservation for a midsize car on 5/28 at 2:00 PM. When I arrived, I waited in line for nearly two hours. Once I finally reached the counter, the agent didn’t offer any apology for the delay and simply informed me that no midsize cars were available. I was told I’d have to wait another 90 to 120 minutes. However, I was immediately offered an upgraded vehicle—available right away—for an extra $20 per day. This raises serious concerns: if other cars were available, why weren’t they used to honor existing reservations without additional cost?It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic or a push to upsell under pressure. Very disappointing experience, and I hope the company reevaluates how it handles reservations and customer service.
May 30 · Albert ChangMisleading and Pushy Counter Experience, but Great Service at the BoothWe arrived at the rental counter very late—around 11:18PM after a long day of travel. The airport was quiet, and there was no line at the counter. Despite the lack of other customers, we didn’t leave until 12:16 AM due to a frustrating and unnecessary delay caused by the counter agent. The agent immediately began pressuring us to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was legally required in Nevada. He even showed screenshots on his personal phone to try and convince us. I knew this wasn’t true and was able to validate that the specific insurance he was referencing was not mandatory. Despite this, he continued insisting we had no choice but to purchase it.Knowing something was off, I stepped away and completed the reservation online without the additional insurance. The process was smooth and straightforward. The confirmation page instructed me to return to the counter to check in, which I did. When I came back to the same agent and explained that I had finalized the reservation online without the insurance, he became defensive. He asked to see where on the confirmation it said to return to the counter and insisted he needed to “look it up” on his computer. During this time, I mentioned that I had worked in the rental industry and never heard of such a policy. Suddenly, his demeanor changed, and my reservation conveniently “updated” on his screen. He then told me I didn’t need to be at the counter at all and should proceed directly to the booth for pickup. To add to the frustration, the agent had even acknowledged how tired we looked earlier in the interaction—commenting that he could tell we had a long day of travel, which we confirmed. Yet he still dragged the process out unnecessarily for over an hour.Thankfully, when we got to the booth, the attendant there was kind, efficient, and helpful. He got us on our way quickly and professionally.Summary:Arrival time: ~11:18PM, not busy, departed ~12:16 AM.Counter experience: Misleading, aggressive upselling, dismissive attitude.Online reservation: Fast and easy, worked as expected.Booth staff: Excellent service and professionalism. It’s disappointing that our first impression was so negative, especially after a long day of travel. I hope the company reviews this type of behavior and ensures staff are providing accurate information and respectful service to all customers. 5 stars for the booth agent and the car⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
October 07 · T Quidachay2nd updateWas able to get a hold of a rep via phone but I had to pretend I was renting a new vehicle otherwise you cant talk to a live agent. I had him transfer me to customer service on a recorded like they agreed to reverse the alleged 7 hour overage fee. I then walked in to dollar the folking day that being today to confirm that the reversal slip logged amd that I will be getting my money back just as the rep stated and apologized. Guess what. Dollar rep at the counter stated he did not see that reversal! And does not see any type of adjustment and said the error is at dollar rental in Yosemite not them! Im like this is the same company! You told me 24 hours. I returned it in 23 hours. This is fraud. Im going to the attorney generals office to file a complaint. Check your cameras ! I dropped it off with key at the dollar customer service counter in fresno airport!!!126446154UpdateNot only did I have poor service at picking up from the attendees down on the bottom floor I just received my final receipt and they charged me an extra 7 hours allegedly for keeping the car over 24 hours, which is completely incorrect. I dropped off the vehicle at Yosemite international airport at 10 PM. And jumped on a smaller rental which I have proof you can't get ahold of anybody at dollar center and they send you a link to make any type of inquires regarding your rental while they keep your money completely unacceptable. I will never rent from dollar. Rent a car again. I was completely confirmed to rent the vehicle and return it under 24 hours. The vehicle was returned within 23 hours and yet I'm being charged. And you can't even dispute or talk to alive. Agent, I will be going into the dollar car. Rental in person, hopefully management is a lot better L3154954712I rented a Chrysler Pacifica, online. I completed the registration process online proceeded to the counter, and the individual who assisted me. It was extremely nice. The light. I'm professional. He told me that I would get a Toyota cnna, and I informed him that on the website. It allowed me to confirm the chrysler.Pacifica, he worked diligently and confirmed that I could use the chrysler pacificI reported to space 209 and noticed the Pacifica was extremely dirty inside and outside. Thank you. I brought these concerns to the 2 folks working. The booth there was an African American. Young skinny female in the thrifty, booth side and a Asian mail on the dollar rental sign. The African American female stated, let's go look at it. She saw that the Van was dusty. Dirty was not wiped down and here pine. Needles in it and said, well, it was washed. I'm not sure we can do anything about it. The other individual quickly said, don't worry about it.I'm gonna run it upstairs and wash itI checked the van at ten forty two p m and it's now eleven 04 p mIt's unfortunate that the people in the counter are really nice. Especially the asian male that helped me and for other people to just mess up the good servicMy rental record is 126446154By the way, brandon was the young male who was very attentive, polite and quickly addressed my concerns kudos to him for representing dollar
