What is Worth Choosing
Choosing the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Gainesville, VA, is a decision rooted in the convenience of its location, the variety of its fleet, and its commitment to certain community values. For Virginia customers, the key reasons to consider this location include the wide selection of cars and vans, the specific discounts available to active military personnel, and the inclusive accessibility of the facility. The ability to use a local, women-owned business that is backed by a global network for reliable roadside assistance and comprehensive rental policies provides a significant advantage. Whether you are seeking an economy car for a quick trip down Route 29, a spacious van for a family outing near the Manassas National Battlefield Park, or a temporary replacement vehicle, the range of options makes it a strong contender.
However, potential renters should be aware that, like any service provider, customer experiences can vary. Published reviews indicate that while central customer service is often described as helpful, there have been instances where the local branch execution of a replacement vehicle request, vehicle availability, or adherence to quoted pricing has resulted in customer dissatisfaction. Specifically, a breakdown in communication regarding vehicle replacements and last-minute changes to reserved vehicle types or pricing has been cited. These factors underscore the importance of confirming all details—including the exact vehicle model, the final payment total, and procedures for emergencies like breakdowns—directly with the Gainesville branch staff before signing the rental agreement to ensure the smoothest possible experience. Ultimately, the choice to rent here is for those who value the enterprise's community support features and extensive fleet, provided they take proactive steps to confirm all rental specifics upfront.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We rented a car from Enterprise for my friend visiting from abroad. Everything went smoothly at first, but in Virginia, the car broke down while parked and wouldn’t start the next day. When I called Enterprise customer service, they were very kind and helpful. They apologized for the situation, said they had informed the nearest branch, and assured us we would immediately get a replacement vehicle. However, when we went to the branch they directed us to, the experience was the complete opposite. The staff member we dealt with made the entire process unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Even though we returned the keys of the broken vehicle, we were told we would not be given another car and that we had to personally handle the towing process, including waiting by the car until it was removed. On top of that, the way this person spoke to us felt dismissive and unprofessional, as if they didn’t want to listen.I found this extremely disappointing and far below the level of professionalism I usually expect from Enterprise. At the moment, I am stuck waiting by the car for it to be towed, losing valuable time and delaying all my plans.I truly hope no other customer has to go through such a poor experience at this branch. Thank you, Jacob…
September 18 · Hamza OzkaraI had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise. When I first arrived at the location, I asked for the large vehicle I had reserved, but I was told it was not available. I then called customer service to check other options, and they arranged an alternative vehicle (Dodge Durango) for me at the same location. However, when I returned to pick up the car, the cashier was about to hand it to me, but another staff member (a gentleman) intervened and said the vehicle wasn’t available after all, giving me a smaller car instead. Later that same day, when I returned the smaller car, I saw the Dodge Durango sitting in the parking lot (see attached photo). This is completely unacceptable.Additionally, when I made the payment, I realized it was more than what customer service had quoted. They extended my return time by 25 hours instead of 24 to charge me extra. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and would not recommend this location. I will not return and will contact the corporate office regarding this situations.
August 22 · Murat KahyaogluHaving rented from several different chains in the US and Europe, and tried a few rental shops locally, this location has given the best service. The staff routinely check cleanliness, scratches and availability of each car in their lot, or being returned shortly.Excellent service and competitive prices.
August 01 · Jeremy LewisHorrible location and poor customer service. Do not rent from this location. I was there to pickup a vehicle I reserved over 2 weeks ago. After almost 30 mins of waiting, watching them stall claiming that they were cleaning the car, a rude and disrespectful manager comes up to tell me car was recalled. In fact it was not recalled. They wanted the premium SUV for someone else. I have decided to never return to Enterprise. This is disrespectful and has ruined my plans for the weekend.
October 09 · Faith MuhlenburgHow about we take this novel approach, and you do your job, Stacy? I went to that website you referenced and it referred me to a phone number. So I had the pleasure of going through all of that crap for a second time today. Instead of posting your idiotic, meaningless responses, how providing some REAL help? Let me guess - it's not in your job description, right? Nothing will come of this, and you know it. Frustrate the customer to the point that he gives up; that is the strategy of all customer service call centers, Enterprise included. Has it dawned on you that this is Enterprise's vehicle that I'm trying to get serviced? And it is Enterprise that is actively obstructing me on two fronts in trying to accomplish that? It not my vehicle - it is yours. So the burden is upon you to get this simple task done, isn't it? (Valuable clue - yes, the burden is upon you, not me.)The car I have rented for several months is in need of an oil change. I stopped by Enterprise in Gainesville last week and asked them to make an appointment @ whatever service center they use to schedule an oil change. A simple, 30 minute oil change. They told me NTB on Sudley Road in Manassas, 0900 on Tuesday, the 19th. I spent an hour in traffic this morning to get there by 0900, and when I walked in, I was informed that NTB had no appointment for me. The technician showed me a computer screen that displayed all NTB appointments for Enterprise vehicles, and my name and my Enterprise vehicle were not listed. So, no oil change today, and probably no oil change for the duration of the lease, if Enterprise can't successfully accomplish a simple 30 minute appointment.Do not rely on Enterprise to do anything outside of the basic rental agreement. They are incapable of performing the simplest tasks.
