After a long flight, standing in line for this long is unacceptable. The company really needs to improve staffing and organization at the rental counter.However, the car was good, no problems there. Return of the car was fast and easy also.
October 04 · Natalie LukashovaAside from Priscilla at the front desk who was delightful, every one of the attendees that worked Wednesday (9/10) night were very rude and not helpful at ALL! I was given a car with the tire pressure light on and when I told the attendant she said, "it's fine" and did nothing about it. She then gave me the option of another car that smelled like it had a dead rat in it, was only filled 3/4 of the way with gas, and had a huge dent in the front passenger side. She said if I didn't take I'd have to wait for another car in my class and she didn't know how long it would be and it could be a while. Considering it was 8pm, I didn't have much choice. Then the computers were down and it took over 20 mins to check out. The car also made a squealing sound when I turned it. I ended up turning it in a day early, knowing Payless would never refund bc I didn't feel safe in the car. National was $100 more but Considering the quality and safety of their cars are MUCH better and their attendees are super helpful, it's worth it! Payless is just terrible! I would upload pics of the car if I could.
September 13 · AliaThis was an expensive car rental for an old car with damage to the interior. I have rented a lot of cars from various companies over the years, and the quality of this car had been the lowest level. It was also difficult to find where to get the shuttle for Payless rather than the other rental car companies. I would’ve given this a one star review however, Claudia at the Boston Logan service desk was incredibly helpful. She deserves five stars.

Evidently vacuuming is an extra option that they can charge for at their discretion.Not all rental car companies are the same. I will never use Payless/Avis again (they are basically the same company).
July 10 · Derek RileyIf there was a 0 star option, I would give it. I've rented from Sixt, Hertz, Alamo, etc., and from almost all of them, Payless is the worst of all. In addition to the delay in getting service, they are scoundrels. They didn't return my security deposit and added $70 to it. The car was delivered in the same condition I picked it up, full of fuel. I don't recommend it, and I'll do everything I can to let everyone know how dishonest this company is.
