Crossroads Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Introduce
Access to safe, reliable, and specialized transportation is a critical need for many residents across California, particularly those requiring mobility assistance or non-emergency medical transport (NEMT). Crossroads Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, situated in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, serves this essential niche as both a Handicapped Transportation Service and a general Transportation Service provider. The core mission of such an agency is to ensure that individuals, who may have difficulty utilizing standard public transport or who require specialized vehicle accommodations, can travel to and from essential appointments, medical facilities, or daily engagements with dignity and comfort.
In the expansive Inland Empire region of Southern California, a dedicated NEMT provider is an indispensable link in the chain of healthcare and daily living. Crossroads aims to fill this role by offering vehicles specifically equipped for clients using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, thereby removing significant barriers to independence and necessary medical care. The importance of this service type cannot be overstated in a large metropolitan area like California, where distances to clinics, hospitals, and specialized care centers can be substantial.
However, potential users in the California community must approach this service with full awareness. While the service category is vital, real-world customer feedback has flagged serious and alarming concerns regarding operational conduct and accountability. Reports include drivers allegedly engaging in hazardous and illegal maneuvers, such as speeding and running red lights, as well as alleged poor practices like parking in a manner that obstructs residential access. Additionally, there are noted issues with communication, specifically regarding unanswered calls and a lack of proper mechanism for taking messages, alongside management's handling of serious complaints. It is crucial for families and patients prioritizing safety, punctuality, and responsive customer service to weigh these reported operational issues carefully when considering Crossroads NEMT for their transportation needs.
Crossroads Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is located at: 11130 White Birch Dr, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, USA. This address positions the provider in the Inland Empire area of Southern California, allowing it to serve a significant portion of San Bernardino County and potentially the surrounding regions. Rancho Cucamonga is a central city in the Inland Empire, which is home to a vast and growing population, many of whom rely on non-emergency medical transport.
For clients who visit the office for scheduling or administrative purposes, the facility has taken steps to ensure physical accessibility, which is a key requirement for a handicapped transportation service:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: The building's entry points are designed to be navigated easily by individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids, ensuring a barrier-free environment for all users.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Dedicated parking spaces are available that comply with accessibility standards, offering convenient and safe access from the vehicle to the entrance. This feature is particularly important for coordinating transports.
While the office location itself is accessible, customers must consider that the core function of this business is transportation, and the safety and reliability issues raised in customer reviews relate directly to the service provided on the road, which should be the primary factor in a Californian user's decision-making process.
Crossroads Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is structured to provide specialized transport services for individuals who are medically stable but require assistance traveling to various destinations. The primary types of services offered include:
- Handicapped Transportation Service: This is the core service, focusing on the specialized transport of individuals with disabilities or reduced mobility. This typically involves using vehicles equipped with hydraulic lifts or ramps to accommodate wheelchairs, ensuring a safe transfer into and out of the transport vehicle.
- General Transportation Service (Non-Emergency Medical): Providing transport to and from non-urgent medical appointments, such as:
- Routine doctor's check-ups and specialist visits.
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation sessions.
- Dialysis appointments.
- Hospital discharges and inter-facility transfers where emergency medical attention is not required.
- Door-to-Door Service: While not explicitly stated, NEMT services generally include assisting clients from their home (or pickup point) directly to the destination and vice versa, often with the driver assisting the client until they are safely inside the destination facility.
The stated purpose of these services is to provide a reliable means of access to healthcare and essential services for those who cannot drive themselves or use standard transportation options.
Beyond the core services, the location highlights certain facility amenities and operational focal points designed to enhance the customer experience:
- High Physical Accessibility Standards: The facility ensures full compliance with accessibility requirements, featuring both a Wheelchair Accessible Entrance and Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot for convenience at the point of scheduling or contact.
- Client Amenity (Restroom): A Restroom is available on-site. This feature is a useful amenity for clients, especially those with medical conditions, who may need to visit the office for administrative reasons or during a transit coordination stop.
- Specialized Vehicle Fleet: The service is built around providing Handicapped Transportation, meaning the vehicle fleet is specially modified to safely and comfortably transport wheelchair-bound individuals, which is a non-negotiable requirement for many clients.
It is imperative to address the severe discrepancy between the intended service quality and the reported customer experience, which acts as a counter-highlight. The community reports of driver misconduct (speeding, running red lights, traffic obstruction) and corporate unresponsiveness are critical factors that users must consider as potential negative features impacting service reliability and patient safety. The reviews strongly suggest a significant failure in driver vetting, training, and operational oversight that directly compromises the safety and trust required in medical transport.
For scheduling transportation, making inquiries about service areas, or discussing specific transport needs, clients can use the following contact information. Given the reported issues with the answering machine, direct telephone contact during business hours would be advisable for California users.

Customers can reach the service via their toll-free number:Phone: (800) 262-9585Mobile Phone: +1 800-262-9585
Due to customer reports indicating that "Phones are not answered and answering machine is not capable of taking messages," individuals must be persistent or attempt to seek alternative communication methods, if available, to ensure their needs are met, particularly for time-sensitive medical appointments.
For a California resident seeking a **Handicapped Transportation Service**, the decision of which provider to choose is fundamentally one of **safety and reliability**. Crossroads Non-Emergency Medical Transportation offers the necessary specialization—a fleet of wheelchair-accessible vehicles—which is its primary value proposition. This technical capability to move individuals with mobility challenges is, in theory, what makes it worth considering in the Rancho Cucamonga area. The physical office location is also genuinely accessible, featuring a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking, which speaks to a level of commitment to physical inclusion.
However, the overwhelming and severe nature of the direct customer feedback must serve as the single most critical factor in this evaluation. The user reviews paint a picture of highly unsafe driver behavior—including **speeding, running red lights, and reckless maneuvers**—and a management structure that allegedly denies and fails to address these life-threatening concerns. The reviews are a direct repudiation of the concept of "safe and reliable" transport, with one reviewer explicitly stating, "if you care about your family I wouldn’t let this company drive them around the block!" This suggests that the foundational elements of trust and safety, which are paramount in medical transport, may be compromised.
While the need for an NEMT service is real, a California user must exercise extreme caution. The risk associated with the reported lack of accountability and dangerous driving behavior may far outweigh the convenience of an available local provider. Therefore, what is "worth choosing" is the **technical ability to accommodate wheelchairs**, but this must be weighed against the **significant and potentially life-threatening risks** highlighted in the public customer reviews regarding driver conduct and management's refusal to correct the behavior. Prudent users in California would be well-advised to thoroughly research and vet alternative NEMT providers in the Inland Empire to ensure a higher standard of safety and communication for their loved ones.

October 09 · Inge AllenDriver cut me off while speeding and blew through a red light. Called the office and they claimed they had reviewed the footage and it didn’t happen. First off, I never told them where this occurred so how could you review what I’m talking about? There was not enough time between my call and the call back to review the entire footage either. It was apparent to me that this may be some sort of family run business so they don’t ever correct the behavior. Long story short, if you care about your family I wouldn’t let this company drive them around the block!
November 25 · Sean Jarvis**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY** This driver in a van with license plate # 65562N2 thinks it's okay to drive excessively over the speed limit with passengers in his van. Yes I'm saying he's going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone around a school zone. When another driver has they're blinker on and is getting over, the driver from Crossroads speeds up so the other vehicle cannot get over and nearly hits them. The Crossroads driver then rolls through stop signs and drives at high speeds again around twisting streets. Did I mention there were passengers. I tried calling to report this but it goes straight two voicemail and it does not give you an option to leave a message before it hangs up on you. Unfortunately I had to follow this driver for a few miles because we were heading in the same direction to the freeway, so I had to witness him cutting off multiple vehicles at high speeds and swerving around cars until we went our separate ways. Please please please do not use this company if you want your loved ones to be safe. If you had someone being driven around in Eastvale California at 3:00 p.m. on March 5th 2024 then I'm so sorry that your family member had to be in that vehicle. Also I give Zero stars but I makes us put something.
March 05 · AJIt's funny that these reviews are about the drivers when I had the same experience driving in front of one of these clowns. Didn't bother pulling over for emergency vehicle, at a four-way stop, they automatically cuts off the car behind me, didn't bother to wait their turn, and just gunned it. Use this service at your own risk to your family. Not safe.
February 03 · Emily GomezI saw a driver of this company almost cause a head on collision by driving onto a lane of oncoming traffic to make a left turn on 5th street from Benson. Inches away from hitting the other car, then proceeded to tailgate every car that was in front of him, what’s sad is that he had passengers in the van, license plate 57408S2
