We waited in line for over an hour just to pick up our car. While other customers behind us were being pulled away to be helped by agents from nearby rental counters, we were left to wait. When we asked them if they could help us too, the agents from Hertz stated “That was an exception.”The main delay came from the customer directly in front of us, whose reserved large SUV wasn’t ready. Instead of helping others in line whose standard cars were available, the agent stood at the computer for about 40 minutes waiting for that one vehicle to be cleaned. During that time, the rest of us just stood there with no updates. When customers behind us became agitated and began questioning her, the agent simply repeated that they were “waiting for a car” and claimed to be communicating with a manager — but offered no real help or explanation. We arrived a few minutes early for our 10:00 a.m. reservation and didn’t leave with our rental paperwork until 11:20 a.m.To top it off, we were told the car would have a full tank of gas, but when we got to it, it was only half full. The car was still dripping wet from a quick rinse and dusty inside and out — clearly not properly cleaned.Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating and poorly managed. Dollar needs to improve both their customer service and operational efficiency before I’d ever consider renting from them again.

The name “Dollar” made me think of Dollar Tree or Family Dollar—affordable, but not necessarily top quality. To my surprise, the experience was far better than expected.I received excellent customer service along with a brand-new 2025 vehicle, and I’ve heard from other customers that they also received 2025 models across the board. This shows consistency in the quality of their fleet and commitment to customer satisfaction.Overall, Dollar Car Rental exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Despite repeated follow-ups, nothing has been resolved. At this point, it feels as if the company has simply kept the money.Holding on to customer deposits this long is unacceptable and comes across as dishonest. I strongly urge management to address this issue and improve how customer deposits are handled.Future renters should be aware: if you value timely and transparent service, think twice before renting from Dollar.

And then another 30 minutes to wait while the car is being detailed!! They don’t have vehicles available. What a waste of time. All other counters don’t even have a line and Dollar here has 15 people waiting. 🤯
August 29 · NaT RavelThis place sucks, and are thieves, be careful they will continue to charge you after you drop off the car. Last year I was charged an entire week after the reservation was returned. I live out of town so they were able to take advantage of me. A rental that was suppose to cost $130 dollars cost me $882, even though the car wasn’t in my possession. I called customer service no help even the manager Micheal refused to help me. Even after I had proof of the car being returned. I returned a year later to rent from thrifty and I was informed that hertz, thrifty, and dollar are all owned and ran by the same company. Don’t rent here!
